Stuart's condition, 4-14-08

I just spoke with Stuart at 11:00 am, Arizona time. He is in good spirits, says that he has not eaten in two days. He's not on any drugs now. He has had two surgries on his left hand. Two fingers and knuckles are damaged. The doctor found dirt and debris in the bone of the hand. He has no idea of how his hand got hurt. The sad news is that he will have to have two more operations and will be staying in the hospital. He was willing to talk but a nurse came in with some info about the doctor and the operation so I ended the call. He can be reached at; 480-882-4000, room 632.

Stuart is grateful for your concern and well wishes. He has had a steady flow of phone calls and visitors more than anyone could wish for. I have to ask you to slow down a little. He is not getting any rest and still has two more surgeries to get through for his hand. I will try to do a better job of keeping you updated on his condition. He has surgury in about an hour and we will see from there is he will be released tomarrow or if he will stay for the last surgery. He is very anxious to get home.

Thanks for posting. I was getting ready to post the same thing as Stu told Ginny he was loving all the attention but it was keeping him from getting any rest.
