Default Wind Screen between Roll Bars?

Anybody ever hear of anything. I drive the cobra with the back window out with the hard top up. This is great in the summer to keep the sun off and nice and shady. In the cold though the air blasts your neck. (I know, wear a hooded sweat shirt). Wifey wants to know if anybody makes anything like the BMW, Porsche makes.

I have heard of a thing called a back window..

Actually, you could buy some thin plexiglass or Lexan, cut it to shape and put industrial velcro on it and on your top to seal the hole. The rad screen on 136 is held on with velcro and has been fine for 6 years...

Default wear a hat!

When I'm feeling less of a man I sometimes wear a hat on a really cold day in the Cobra. I also subscribe to the safe and warm approach of putting on a helmet! Just kidding. You could try some velcro looped around the roll hoop and fixed to some Lexan, or plexiglass. Good luck helping make the Cobra more civilized for the wife. In my experience it is a slippery slope, this usually leads to the conclusion that she wants a modern coupe and could care less how fast or slow it is.

Maybe everyone missed the fact that you have a hardtop on the car?

You could probably attach the plexiglass to the top with race tape on the inside , that may be easier than velcro...

Default wind screen

I tried making a wind screen out of plexy glass that went all the way across the back from roll bar to roll bar. Got a terrible blow around each side of the screen, much worse than without it. I have looked at the BMW screens, they are made of very fine screen material that let the wind that comes around the sides diffuses through the screen. Now I am making plexy glass side window for the wife. After that I'll try the screen material for the back

Just try diffusing the WIFE that might work. All the new convertible cars do use a wind screen and they are quit good, you might try picking up one for a VW or something and just mounting it behind the seats or to the roll bars, sounds screwy but it might work for you. Who knows? good luck Jim.

Just get the wife a set of Bose over the ear headphones, pipe in
her favorite Yoni album, a good scarf and some big wrap around
sun glasses and you're good to go. She won't even care about the
the outside world until you arrive..

Most of the air comes in under the side screen. I cut new ones and contoured the bottom to the shape of the fender. These made a huge difference....deflects the air past the back of the cockpit...pigs in my gallery..

There is a product called "vet net". I think it could be adapted to a Cobra. Most vet owners use them (convertible). A friend has one and I tested it in my FFR. It fits but need to get something to hold it behind the seats like an old convertible top in a Austin Healy Sprite.
