I'll try to work it into my busy schedule. I think Tuesday is my final inspection of my garage expansion and you never know when the guy will decide to show up. Maybe we can properly break in the new pavement?

Bob, I'd read that Jeff had returned to sanity and put the big motor back in. He was saying he wanted to get some different mufflers but I recomended he spend the money on some good MT drag radials. I'd still take him...in a race from here to Show Low, or some place where he'd have to fill up with gas two or three times. My little hummer gets 11 or 12 MPH if I keep it mostly under 90.

Karlos,
Are you really getting that good of mileage with your beast? Over 10 would be nice but 11 or 12 is great. My earlier checks showed I was getting about 4 miles per gallon and if she gets 10 now I would be happy as a clam. I did leave the burnt out mufflers on the car but I think a ticket for DB violation is just a matter of time. I can tell if she is idling without checking the tach this way.

Jeff, last time I checked was a trip to Tucson and I was right at 12MPG. I'd generally kept the speed under 80 except for when I passed an Army convoy and a prison bus on the road to Florence. I let off when the needle passed 120 on that two lane road. Never had the car going that fast and considering my speedo is 10% slow, I was humming right along. Had a 260# buddy with me that must have added to the stability. Made his eyes "go round" as Ev would have said.

Who is handing out the paper work at Indigo Joe's? We often have dinner/drinks there on friday nights, last night included. I can almost see the place from my balcony.

There are times I think more power and less gas mileage would be nice............... But then I return to reality. BTW 25MPG ave for the Heber run.

Default Aver MPH

I don't know how anybody gets more then 12. I got that going to Heber but if I stomp on it and play; well let's just say the needle malfunctions!

Jeff and his 4-5 mph? Holy crap!

I am waiting for the first guy around here to put a V6 blaster in one of these with the price of gas

Argh! I was at Indigo Joe's at 3:30, no body dere. Checked with the trooper at the McDowell entrance and he had not seen anyone and explained that the southbound lanes were for public parking and the north bound for exhibits and stuff, so, I went to the Brown road entrance, BS'd the trooper to let me in and drove as far north as McKellips without seeing any Cobras or Mustangs. At four o'clock, I decided to head for the barn and enjoy the AC. Sorry if I missed anything. Must have gotten my wires crossed somewhere.
