Route 66 Show
I am signed up for the route 66 show in Williams this Fri & Sat. Is anybody else going to come?
www.route66place.com for info Bill:MECOOL: |
Bill. Sure, I would go too if I could fall out of bed and attend. I have been at that show several times with no luck. Williams is a cool tourist town with lots of shops and the Twisters makes good hamburgers. I am glad to see the judging has expanded to 35 classes instead of just the "top 10". I's a good show if anyone decides to attend. At least you get a T-Shirt.

Good show and decent judging now....Can't go this year...Will try for next year.. Dave

This looks like a good show but has limited registration. I think it would be a good club event for next year. Cool weather and a good show. Let's do it next year???

AZ Bob
I went to the Williams show today. Hung out with some of the 50's Ford group.
After some BS, it turns out that the guy next to me knows this pharmacist, named Bob, that has a blue Cobra with the number 65 on it. ???? Bill:LOL: |
Yup, I know him. He's got a 54 black Ford with a newly rebuilt Y-block 292 in it. Nice guy. Name escapes me but so does a lot of other stuff.
I'm sorry to miss this show. Newspaper says they expect 600 cars. Too long a drive for this old guy. Had to work until 10pm tonight which means I would have to get up a ungodly 30 in am to make it there for 8am sign in. Then drive back in 150 degree weather. Maybe next year. AZ Bob |
Bill, I remember his name: Carl. So there!

I told Carl to tell you that I got the best under construction trophy.
Bill:o |
Congratulations Bill. You deserve a good "under reconstruction" trophy, so does your car. Way to go!
We had a guy come to our Saturday Cruise In who trailered his old 20's Ford up there and he said he got so much rain, he gave up and came home??? AZ Bob |
Rain!!!
Bob,
It did not rain during the "show hours" but right after on both days, it rained & haled like hell. Bill |
My wife and I went to Willaims, AZ from Lake Havasu City on Friday, we didn't take the
Cobra..took the 5th wheel and camped. The show was fun, especially all the crazy people and a good selection of "rods and stuff". I only saws one Cobra on Friday but I guess the PM rains scared him off. This show would be a lot of fun if we got about 10 or more Cobras and all stayed at one of the downtown hotels where you can park in front of your rooms and just pull them out onto the street during the show. Plenty of places to eat and drink in this town. Best Regards, Bill |
I 2nd Bill's idea. Let's plan now for next year. Bill, why don't you take the lead on reservations for housing and I'll stay on top of registration for next years show?
