She's Blue Again

We are headed in the right direction now. Body prep done. Paint applied.
Now starts the reassembly. Matt at Scotts Coach works said should be done by the holiday weekend. If thats the case I will be a very happy man.:D:D

Can't say enough good things about the folks at Scotts Coach Works. They have been forthright in their info to me and it looks like they have done a great job on the car. CSX3012 that is being offered at Russo& Steele was painted there. I got the chance to look at 3012 just before paint prep.

Pics in gallery. 4 months since the accident, has seemed longer

That's great Jeff. Do I hear a suggestion for a run over Labor Day Weekend? Maybe a breakfast run to the pines?

John-Tucson 08-21-2008 08:19 PM

Great news Jeff. Sometimes you do have to wait for quality work ( and all of the little screw-ups along the way).

dave from mesa 08-21-2008 08:27 PM

Great news. Be about time! You gonna try and make Laughlin?
Good luck

mikiec 08-22-2008 07:44 AM

VINCENT RUDI 08-22-2008 02:19 PM

Holy **** what happend I seen the pictures are you ok!

Danr55 08-22-2008 02:55 PM

I gotta quit looking at those pictures. It's bad for my bloodpressure! Your car looks great Jeff. I'm glad you're getting back on the road.

Vincent, Everyone is OK. We were out of the cars when the lady with the SUV and the cell phone plowed into the cars. Stuart, the one who went under the wire, came away with some cuts and bruises and a couple of broken fingers. He got the worst of the physical injuries. Thanks for asking.

mobilenuke 08-22-2008 03:07 PM

Thanks for all the replies guys. I hope she is done before the holiday weekend but if not I can survive. She looks great in the pictures and I can't wait to see her in person. I will probably only do some short rides for awhile to make sure all the componets are working properly before doing anything crazy.

Dave S. I'm not really a polisher but the first stone chip needs to get done and over with so I won't feel so bad about the others that will happen.

Thanks again guys, looking forward to meeting up with everybody and showing her off

Tomorrow maybe

Got a phone call from Matt at Scotts Coach Works today saying he thinks car will be ready for pickup tomorrow. WOW I hope so. Picking it up with trailer untill I can get some seat time locally just in case there are some mechanical issues still to be found. I have received a letter from my insurance company asking me to release the B&*ch from any and all further claims so they(my company) can get some of their money back. Haven't signed it yet.:D

Jeff

Danr55 08-28-2008 02:15 PM

Jeff, Don't sign a thing until you are certain that everything is fixed correctly. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that, but it makes me feel better to say it.

cobish 08-28-2008 07:06 PM

Hi Jeff,
paint looks great, make sure the car is mechanical sound before signing any releases.

I'm Bummed. Car was not ready for pickup today. Guess some of the small detail stuff like.... fuel tank connections had to be bought and some door hinge difficulties. Hope it is done and detailed for pickup tomorrow.
Keeping fingers crossed

She's finally home!!

Went to Scotts today and picked her up with the trailer. Man those guys do great work. Shes is beautifull, but i'm predjudiced. Nice to have her back in the garage. Think I'll keep opening the door and checking to see if she is really there. Just ran her around the block to let the neighbors know :LOL:

Short trips for now to make sure everything is okay.

Jeff

dave from mesa 08-29-2008 03:49 PM

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 09-03-2008 04:16 PM

Jeff, congrats on getting your baby back. I have always told people Scotts is the place to go for major work after an accident. My paint job is better than original.

AZ Bob
