Breakfast in Pine..
Karl and I were talking this am about a breakfast run tomorrow, Monday 9/1. I should have the RED ONE back on the road today, and I'm suffering from Cobra withdrawls. Anyone interested?

"Sorry got something planned for tomorrow. Need a little more notice here. What do ya think just cuz we're retired we have nothing to do?"

Dave, If I'd thought of it earlier, I'd have given you more notice. Next time, I promise. This is strictly impromtu.. If any of the gang is interested, we'll leave the Standard Station at Brown and Ellsworth about 7:30 in the morning and hit the intersection of the B Line around 8. If anyone is interested in going along, please call. 480-268-3494.
If some of you west side folk are interested in gathering at the Shell Station let me know and we can adjust the schedule accordingly.

It was a great drive. Jeff's new/rebuilt car is purrrddy.. Karl is .. well what can you say about Karl? A bowtie/butterfly is a bowtie/butterfly... Everyone else was missed......up until they served breakfast then everyone else was forgotten. I'll post some pics later.

It was a nice day for a drive although I was wishing I'd worn a long sleeved shirt on the ride up. Got a little bit nipply as we gained altitude. Had quite a few threatening thunder-bumper clouds but no rain. Just some damp pavement, which was well dried by the return trip. Sheriff Joe had plenty of stormtroopers out so we all felt real safe. Dan tried his best to get hooked up with the waitresses, but struck out, as usual. He kept inching closer to me in the restaurant booth, but I guess he must have had me confoozed with Bob B. Karlos don't swing that way.

Had a good time today with Karl and Dan. Thanks guys for making the wife feel welcome. It was nice to take a good ride since it has been over 4 months since the accident. The car ran well and everything seems to be okay mechanically. No misshaps, breakdowns or accidents. What a relief.

Sorry I couldn't go with guys. Expecially Dan and Karl. Are you guys going to fight over me?
I had an encounter with a thorn Saturday after work. Hit me in the left eye while trying to trim a bush. Yes, emergency room till midnight. Drugs, eyedrops, patch etc. Couldn't see till Monday, then just more pain. Almost alright now. Thorn just tore "V" shaped patch in eye, didn't go straight in. Had to work Sunday with 1 eye and the pain. Found someone to get me off Monday.
I'll be fine by Tuesday night. Eyes heal fast.

Karl, I quit moving close when you took your hand off of my leg.
Jeff, It's always a pleasant job to make your wife feel welcome. She's a great lady.
Bob, Are you sure you didn't get poked in the eye through a slit in the curtains? (Hope it heals quickly.) No, we're not fighting over you, we're fighting to see who gets stuck with you!
Let's do it again soon!

Argh Matey, Bob B. you must be extra fetching with the eye patch. Brings new meaning to "I'll keep an eye out for you".

Fitz, why bother checking the drive shafts in the boat? You never take it out, do you? Potty stop wasn't needed, since we'd just left the Knotty Pine fifteen minutes before. Did feel good to get home though.
