Danr, and anyone else going to Globe tomorrow. How about meeting at the Chevron station at Ellsworth and Brown for a 10 o'clock lift off? We could even take the long way and go up the Beeline and then over to Roosevelt. Supposed to be cloudy and cool tomorrow.

Please give me a hint where Brown and Ellsworth are located, is it Mesa? Mapquest shows it north of 60, close to Apache Junction, correct?
Thanks, Ralph

Ralph
You are coming up the 202, right? Take the Brown exit and go east to Ellsworth.

Four of us showed up and had a great ride. (Carl, Karl, Ralph and damIcan'tremember hisname) Stayed overcast all day and the temperature was in the low 80s. Extended the ride by going to Kearny and Winlkeman, from Superior, before going on to Globe. Had excellent food at Chalos after being lucky enough to snag a table in the packed restaurant. (the owner saw us come in and put the last two small tables together) Waiting to hear Danr's feeble excuse for not showing....

Great having met up with guys for a kick-ass ride and a delicious meal at Chalos. By the way, Karl, the fourth Cobra guy was Pete with his recently finished FFR and I might say painted a terrific color, RED!
My buddy, Chuck, rode with me for his first extened road trip(200 miles) and enjoyed himself a lot but is not quite ready to trade in his Triumph bike.
Thanks again, Karl, Pete, and Carl for showing me the hilly back roads of your neighborhood!
Ralph :MECOOL, in Globe.

Ralph, thanks for reminding me that Pete's name is Pete. Just had a brainfart. Did you get rained on? I hit about a dozen drops just as I got home.

Karl, yes we hit a few sprinkles a couple miles before we got to Chuck's house in Awatukee. I was a little worried because the clouds looked like it was going to be a down-pour, and having been in one or two bad ones, I was not looking foreward to going boating on Rt 60.

Default Thanks Karl, Carl & Ralph!

It was a great drive and I'm glad I met you guys. Karl, you led a perfect route - no tickets & no off-roading - and I'm glad I also followed your Green Chili menu advice. I left you all at Globe to drive home the long way through Roosevelt but when I got near Roosevelt Lake there was a wall of rain ahead. I wimped out with a quick U-turn and headed back to Globe, then down to the valley. I got a few sprinkles, but no downpours. Thanks for a fun day!
Pete
