Directions to the Catalina, AZ. party on Sunday.
Hi guys, I noticed that some of you will be coming down here via Highway 60 and then # 79 to # 77 into Catalina. From Idaho Rd. and # 60 it is 1:20 in time to my home at the speed limit. With no traffic it is 1:15. Watch for the one cop on # 79. Once you are on # 77 , ten minutes to the house, drive past the traffic lights at Saddlebrook and Pinto Ln., at the light at Golder Ranch Rd. turn left, east, and go 1.2 miles . You will pass Twin Lakes, and Bowman, look for a yellow diamond shaped sign that indicates "Coranado Forest ", you will turn right, south, about 20 feet in front of that sign onto Rugged Lark Dr. We are about 1 1/2 blocks on the left at 15026 N. Rugged Lark Dr. For those of you coming from anywhere west of I-10 I'd suggest that you take I-10 south , perhaps join up at the rest stop at mile post #182, then continue south to mile post #185 and exit I-10. Drive east across I-10 and turn right onto #387, it's about 1/4 mile east of I-10. Follow # 387 about 13 miles to # 87 and then follow the siges to Florence. In Florence, stay to the right and you will merge unto # 79. Then follow the above insturctions to our house. This route is quite fast and possibly the very best way to our house from the central and western Phoenix area. Please BRING chairs. Thanks, John

Glad you're not leading Mikiec. People want to get there in the same day, and maybe at a little more than 55 MPH.

IF Karl is leading it's for sure that you'll see lots of extra country side. I remember this time at band camp.. or was it last years picnic? Sure glad I never get lost! Now don't any of you hurt yourselves when you fall down laughing!

What? Something wrong with taking the SCENIC ROUTE? I'd never been to that part of the road and just wanted to see if there was anything interesting. BTW, and to change the subject, who was leading us on that guided tour of Superior a few years ago? Hard to believe we could get lost in a town with only three streets.

1st trip requires you pay each member there $20.00. This should cover any damage you might inflict.

Mikiec
Will latex be ok. They don't bounce very high or far, but they are covered well.

Full coverage without breaking is always the best.
