Almost a perfect trip
Well, I had a great time in Laughlin and Utah but the last of 30 miles home well....Ouch
I wish people would take the time to take their cars especially the tires! Someone in a pickup truck had a major tire failure, I saw the piece of junk on the side the road shortly after impact. They lost the entire tread and the car in front of me ran it over and sent the entire thing airborn. I tried to move but the piece was was as wide as my car. I am very lucky, no other damage on the car just the windshield, bummer is that is was less than a year old.

Bet that made for some pucker factor. Glad you weren't injured and that the car didn't receive more damage. You should buy a lottery ticket.

Glad to hear you are OK and nobody was injured.
Sorry about all the damage...I guess road hazards really do exist...almost anything is a road hazard for a cobra.
Best Regards, Bill

Windshield
Paul,
Thanks for the visit! Great to see you again.
As you know, FFR ships the whole windshield, glass, frame, and posts. Griff ordered "glass replacement" and got everything for $285. Not a bad deal.
Looks like the "safety" glass worked!
Best regards from your UT friends,
Larry

I'm letting the Insurance company buy this one, I have a 0 deductible on glass. I replacethe windshield earlier this year on my dime. According to the glass company the windshield will be on Thursday, hopefully I'll be driving by the weekend.

Pucker factor is an understatement. New windshield $285. New shorts $5.

Well, shucks. The glass came in and I took my car down to Safelite to have them change the glass, however the frame was twist and so the new glass will not fit my old frame. Call the Insurance company explain what the issue, I called Factory Five, the complete Windshield and Frame is around $650.00 which still cheap. the Invoice for the glass at Safelite was 511.00. Grif got a deal of the century errr a shipping mix up is my guess. $285 is a good deal for the glass only. When I get the invoice I will send it to the Ins co and get a check. Maybe next week... The upside I did get to drive the car some today, with and without a windshield. Bummer is I looked up the law and technically I need a windshield to drive on the street.

Paul have the little lady hold up a piece of glass while you drive. Or maybe this lady is still available.
