Default tremec transmissions

Has anyone in the Phoenix area had any success with work on a Tremec TKO 600? I would like to have some checks made on mine.

Dan, I really don't know anyone qualified to work on one. What checks do you need? Any more than a standard fluid change does get really expensive.

THanks Gordon. I need the input shaft changed. When I bought the tranny from Anthem, it had the wrong shaft in it and they didn't change it. They installed a 1" spacer plate instead. AMP.. "All Mustang Performance" works on Tremecs. They said about 1 hour and $200 to R&R the shaft.

Dan, I swapped mine out successfully. There was a post in the transmission section, but I failed to find it to post here. I believe I printed it out and could fax it to you if you'd like. If you'd like, pm me and I'll be happy to help in any way.

Not that it matters, but I did another search and managed to locate that thread: DIY Short Input Shaft

I bought some parts from AMP and they had just what I needed and treated me well.

Good luck and give me a shout if I can help.

Jeff, there is a reason for that. After Dan saw what the Feds did with the phone taps on Blagojevich, he now changes his number every other day!
