Are you guys serious about coming down ( up) here for the autocross ? The tech is at 7:30 am, drivers meeting at 8:00 am first car out at 9:00 am. We really need your support and I'll buy your lunch if you do come down ( up) here. John

John...yes I will be down. The time of day isn't an issue for me. I'm up at 5am everyday anyway. I enjoy some track time and seeing what my car can do when driving other than in a "straight line". See you there. Oh, can you provide some directions? I know that the roads are under construction down there. Any hints on the best way from Mesa?

Mike, Take I-10 to the Palo Verdi exit, I think it is Exit # 265, you'll exit to the right and drive to a stop sign. At the sign turn left, north, and drive thru three traffic lights, Irvington, Ajo, and Swan. The road makes a sweeping right turn and goes east. About one mile east of Swan is Craycroft, turn right there into DM AFB. I have not received the complete entry instructions yet. Basically you'll need a drivers license, possibly vehicle registration and insurance forms. Will you be driving or trailering ? If you are in east Mesa you can take Hiway 60 to the Florence turn off, then south to Oracle Junction. Then follow Orace Rd. south into Tucson, at Ina Rd. about 20 minutes driving time south of the Oracle Junction, turn left on Ina and go all the way to Craycroft. At Craycroft turn south and follow it all the way into DM AFB , about 7 1/2 miles. The road ( I-10 ) that is under construction is in the downtown area, from Mile post exit 254 to exit 260 . With your route you won't be bothered by the construction. I have found that with all of the on and off ramps closed it is much easier to drive thru the downtown area on I-10. John

RandyRC2, There are dozens of motels in Tucson. Based on what you want to pay and how close to DM AFB you want to be will decide where I could recommend. There are two motels about one mile north of DM on Craycroft Rd. One would be inexpensive and the other medium priced. Let me know what your thoughts are and I can suggest motels. Thanks John....I'll be driving down with Karl as my co-driver. Info says 2 runs. I'll send registration in early next week. See you there.
