Hello to the Arizona Cobra Club from the NW Cobra Club. My wife and I are going to be in Lake Havasu the March 23rd through through March 29th. Are there any runs or events planned? If yes were?

Does anyone know the condition of the road to Oatman from the Havasu side?

We drove from Laughlin to Oatman last October during our "Kit Cars on the Colorado Show. 391 down to 153 and over to Oatman. Long and bumpy. You would be coming up 95 to Topock then the Oatman Hwy. Good road. Part of the Route 66 Fun Run every year. About a 1 hour drive.

Bob, that road to Oatman from Laughlin was plenty bumpy but for some reason, the same road coming back wasn't nearly so bad. Must have been the triple digit speeds I did, allowing me to skim over the rough spots. Jeff Classic, bear that in mind the next time you lead the group somewhere. Going faster is funner!.

Are there two ways into Oatman? I don't think it matters where you come from, you still wind up on the Bumpobahn. Watch out for the wild burros on the road. They will walk right out in front of you and stop.. just to see you scramble.

Danr, I took the same route back to Laughlin from Oatman, as the going. Just wasn't stuck going soooo slowly, behind Jeff Classic. I understand that he wouldn't want to risk gouging his beautiful car on some of the bumps and dips, but dammmit, these things were meant to be thrashed....so I did, and look at me now. ha.

Karlos.. I'm sure that your desire to thrash and obuse had nothing to do with your driving into the bushes. It was the sand on the roadway.. Ya, that's it, that damned sand in the roadway.. I will admit that the ride is better going fast than it is going slow.. unless of course one of the burros decides to play games..

WAAA FRIGGIN WAA Karlos !!! Not sure what you are beachin about again. I tried running about 7 to 10 over the posted speed in town but da cars were getting smaller in my mirrors so I backed off a bit. As my navigator - Bob B. will attest I tried again to spice it up when we got out of town but the road sucked big time. As I remember you did try hitting just the tops of the moguls on the way home. Seemed to work so I tried it too.

I don't bother smokin when there are much better, more direct ways of gettin my groove on. I knew it was October cause Jeff said so.
