Gentlemen!!
Hello there!!!
My name is Mike McCaul, I am from the Tucson Corvette Club, now before you shoot the messanger, please let me explain.
Late last year we spoke to some of your members at a car show about attending our spring Autocross and having a little friendly competition, and so we could both see how the other half lives. Well, we have it all arranged, and set to go out at Davis_Monthan AFB on march 29th. If some of your members would like to attend I can post our flyer and registration information here, or linc you to our web-site.
I hope this does not violate any forum rules!!!
Hope to see you at the track!
Mike

Count me in for the event. Will there be any additional events other than the autocross? 1/4 mile? etc. I will have to "google" the AFB I don't know where it's located.

OK got it spotted. It's a little too far for the Tuscon guys but some of the Phoenix guys will probably make it. Right John?

MikeMc71, I am sorry to say that the Tucson guys won't be able to make it. Half of our guys are going to the drag strip to race against the VW Club of Tucson and the other half will be at Starbucks. And the rest of the guys will be sleeping in. John PS. Please call me at 825-9197.

Hello again! We also invited some Porsche guys to our event. So don't be shy! To date we haven't received any Cobra registrations. You have to have your registrations in by 20 March so e can get your names to the DM folks for security reasons. There will be 2 races, 3-4 laps each. We will have lunch out there (no host), water, soda, t-shirts, 50-50 raffle, etc. I hope to see you all there! ( so get out of the Strabucks!)

Boy that sounds like fun... but my Cobra is all show and no go! I might get rock chips in the front running around like that on an air-strip, my car is not FOD friendly....
I agree though this is just the event for Eric and his Chebby powered Cobra!
Need to pass on this one, saving my duckets for Route 66!

MikeMc71, I would like to hand deliver my registeration on Thursday, the 19th. Can I do that ? I am waiting for the Tucson guys to respond to my email to them about putting spectators on my access list. Thanks, John

I recall a video BP posted with him lapping many modern and very fast cars around the race track. I think there is plenty of "go" in the green monster.
