Default Old Style CSX gauge needed

I recently had to replace my oil temperature gauge replaced and foind out that SAI has changed their gauges. My origianl ones (car built in 2006) read Manufactured in the USA copyright 2000. The new one reads Autometer at the top and manufactured 2006. The color of black on the gauge face doesn't quite match up. Anyone know where I can get my hands on the original style(at least origianl to my car)
Thanks
Ron

Ron,

It was good to see the new skinny you last Saturday night.

You might want to post this in the shelby american forum.

Also, check over on csxinfo.net

Try Nisonger Instruments. If he doesn't have the gauge, they will almost cretainly know where to get one. Ask for Peter Bayer. They're advertisers here on CC.

Ralph, I took my speedo there a few months ago. It hasn't done anything but bounce since then. How well do you know these guys?

Dan, my speedo broke last year as we were coming back from Laughlin, trying to follow some of you guys at speeds exceeding 120. The speedo needle started to bounce like mad and then went to zero, it only goes up to 120.
I got a couple of recommendations from AZ club members for Dick's Speedo. I dropped it off a few days before heading up north, so I didn't have a chance to install it until I got back down there this past May. Anyway, it still didn't work after paying around $120 for rebuilding it, so I thought maybe I had also broken the cable or the driven gear in the trans.
After checking out the cable and replacing the driven gear, I traced the problem back to the speedo. I called Mike and after explaining the whole thing he said to send it back, telling me it may have been a new faulty head and he would take care of it.
So, after several guys had suggested the shop, I thought it was merely a fluke and he is standing behind his work. I only sent it back last week so can't give you anymore info at this time.
I did find it odd that they didn't run it on the bench after rebuilding it however.
Been using my GPS speed indicator while driving it up here.

Ralph, I wasn't aware that the trip back from Laughlin was "spirited". I must not have been part of that group. I know that on the way up, a few of us MAY have exceeded the posted speed limit, a tad, but that was all before the gremlins hit me in Wickiup. Even with the waiting for the tow truck, I think my average speed to Kingman, might have been close to triple digits, considering how fast Zeke, or Clem, or Virgil, or what ever the tow truck driver's name was. You're missing some great Arizona summer weather.

Karl, the weather here in northern Illinois is like what you have in your neck-o-the-woods in December, 70's and 80's.
I'm certainly not missing the 108 degrees I was sitting in traffic on 60, after we came back from our Pine Breakfast Run, about a month and a half ago.

X2 Peter at Nisonger can rebuild the original gauge for you.
