Default Heber, a GREAT time!!

Well I survived the Heber week-end. Cathy and I had a great time but before another word I want to get a few Thank Your's to the folks who helped make the week-end so damn nice. Thanks Miss Ginny & Mike for all the details !. Thanks Miss Pinkette & Pink for opening your home to this gang. Jim and Susan, Mike, Ginney and the Gang all doing a part I had a blast.

Had some good stories and rumor has it there is Video of the Greek Bastard holding Dan R in his arms way too close for release on a Car Guys site. Stay tuned.

Totally agree with Jeff. They did a great job as usual.
Maybe we can charge a fee to let ppl see the dancing.
Have to show some kind of ID just so the kiddies don't look.

Jeff....

I have 3 words for you.

FAT CHICK WATER..

This was another great year up in the cool country. Special thanks for Mr. & Mrs. Olsen for again allowing us to invade.

Dave, the manager of the SawMill went way overboard to see that we had a great time. If you get a chance visit the Best Western site and fill out a comment card for Dave.

Mike

...and a great time was had by all.. The weather eventually cooperated.

Jeff, please define "way too close".

Mr Pink and his lovely bride did a fantastic job, as usual, to make sure everyone had too much to eat and felt welcome to thier home. Even Nick got into the mix. For those of you who didn't make it this year, if you don't mark it down on your calendar for next year, you will have no idea how bad a dancer Mikie really is.. To all of the Red Hat Ladies, way to go! Your head work was great this year. I look forward to more of the same next year. When it comes to saying "SEX!", I still wonder why that was the loudest.

Dan, you must have stopped in Payson. You passed me on the Bee Line Hwy about 5 miles before your Bush Hwy turnoff. Jeff, you can have the car cover if you can use it. I have no use anymore and it just takes up space.
Just a note: I went to Cabelas today. They have 38 specials FMJ in stock and my 32 AUTO. Bought both. No .45 AUTO. They also have a Kel-tec .380 like Jeff's in stock for $199.99 used. Don't need another one but a good deal.

You're right Bob. Stopped in Payson for fuel and used coffee overflow. I was amazed. We got home in just over 2 hours and 20 minutes. It was warm for the last 25 miles or so but other than that, it wasn't too bad. No hay trucks to contend with. Met up with Hector and Rick in Payson, but they continued on when we stopped.

Danr,
The weather did improve but thats because it had to improve. Cause it couldn't much worse and still be July in Arizona. I had slowed down to about 25 MPH because I could not see the car I knew was about 6 car lengths in front of me or the that last time I saw it anyway. When I slowed down below 25 MPH most of the hail and rain that was going over the windshield came right down in my lap.

We dove under the overhang of the entrance of a biz that 2 cars could fit under. We were drenched and when I looked down at my belt latch all I could see was slush from the hail in my lap. The carpet color was now white with hail and I could see every bodies breath. The next day I got a sunburn.

Danr, what the hell do you mean " Please define too close"
Any time you see Two Guys Dancing with their arms around each other sing MAMMY or some dam song IT IS TOO CLOSE ! (wearing an original Gashole Hat) was a nice touch though. If I was PC = I would say but not that there is anything wrong with that.

So ya want to know what Fat Chick Water is?

The story behind Fat Chick Water went like this. During the 4th of July parade we were all idling forever as we made are way to the finish line. Vic was a few cars back and started to overheat so he pulled over along the route.

Vic had a chromed pipe for his top radiator hose fastened with rubber hose lengths on each end. A tear in the rubber hose sidelined him until he could shorten the hose and catch up with our group.

We found a Parts Store open and bought new hose to make a permanent repair. Near the end of my slaving away in the extreme heat of Heber and a hot engine 2 bottles of water were placed in front of me. Vic then walks back to the trunk to grab something else and I grabbed one of the bottles and popped the top.

I was in the middle of what would have been about 3 glugs to empty my bottle of water when Vic yelled NO-NO and started laughing uncontrollably. He did manage to explain that those bottles were recovered and filled with water from that pool along the parade route. So I spit out what I could but most of it was down the hatch.

When I asked him if he just rewarded my help with Fat Chick Water he just roared with laughter and asked what Fat Chick Water was? I reminded him I saw that pool and it was full of Fat Chicks when I went by, you arshole you have poisoned me with fat chick water and I am going to die. My Buddy yep my buddy has tried to kill me so this is my declaration of who done it !!! The photo from Mikiec shows kids who pee in pools were in it also! THANKS Vic.

Glad you guys could make it.
It's about time that the sheriff and DPS gave us an escort. They can no longer deny what the people line the street to see.
Jeff, is that a Baby Ruth in the pool?

I did have a great time and everybody was very nice. I think it is way cool the towns population doubles for the parade and celebrating the 4th. Small Town USA is alive and well.

Enough talk about candy bars or other such things. Long live nice people and cool little towns. The hotel was great, well it was expensive for what it was but demand does set the price I guess. Can't have fun without a little cash changing hands so party on.

Mikie, I could not find a place on the Best Western website where we could offer a thanks to Dave or even give a positive feedback.
