Umm, just for the record with the exception of a Roush tech having to come out and dial in the EFI with 200 miles on the engine because it would occasionally misfire at cruise and would require some throttle at cold idle, I've not had a problem since and that was 5500 miles ago. No leaks, no stumbles, no problems. Just push the button and go. I've been extremely happy with the engine. I've had less problems with it that my wife's engine in her Toyota.

Oh no, now what have I done, I've jinxed myself! Better bring extra tools to Laughlin.

Roush does make great motors. Todd Andrews stands behind their work. Whatever events have ocurred so far have been or are being fixed. Roush is fortunate to have Tim, Ron and Sandy as customers because they are patient and understanding (up to a point). I have a hand built motor, a much cheaper one, but I, too have had problems. Goes with the 500+hp thing. I wouldn't knock Roush motors. If I could afford one, I would have one too.

Got back last Sat. Finally! Are you back yet?

mikiec 10-22-2009 04:46 PM

Dave,

Are you going?

Mike

One thing about Rousch, is they seems to stand by their motors. Not many can say that.

Danr55 10-22-2009 05:04 PM

Jeff stands by his motor a lot.. Almost as much as I stand by mine!

Jeff is going to be standing by his motor all weekend at home.
I even tried to get him to ride along with me and stood me up.

Dave, I am sorry that I couldn't make this trip. Closing on a house (selling) on Monday the 26th, which has been on the market for 11 months.
Will be leaving here Nov. 1st, hoping the snows won't fly till we get far enough south.
I was looking forward to the side-trip to Oatman, had a fun time looking at all the asses in that little town.

Thanks go out to all of you who have given me support and encouragement throughout this week. All of you fellow cobra guys are great. Sandy is doing better. We will get through this. I will miss you all this weekend. This trip is perhaps my single favorite event of the year. Have fun. I will be back.

Bob, I looked back on this thread and didn't see anything about your wife having a problem, am I missing something? Is there another thread that refers to this? Whatever it is, I hope everything turns out OK!

Maricopa, I'm missing the link to the problem Bob's having, where is it?

Maricopa 10-23-2009 09:29 PM

Don't think there is a thread. I heard the news from another club member and don't have any real details not having talked directly to Bob.

Well, damn, knowing not what the problem is, I can only wish and hope that whatever it is, that the outcome will be positive.
All the best,
Ralph

Just got back from the Kit Car Show in Laughlin, unfortunately we were only able to be there on Saturday due to other plans. The show was nice, all the usual suspects and a few new cars, the Lister and the two Daytona's were super, I've never seen a Lister in person...very cool machine. The guys from Vegas were very friendly and fun to talk to, along with Jay from Kingman.
Hope everyone had fun, Bill

mikiec 10-28-2009 10:33 AM

Bill,

I went looking for you but you dissapeared. Hope to see you and Mal soon.

Mike

Bill - do you have any details about the Lister? I am wondering if it is somebody new or not. There are 5 Listers in the Phoenix area including mine and I am always trying to hook up with any new ones I run across.

DWRAT 11-02-2009 08:23 PM

The Lister owner in my pictures is named Steve and he goes by Ironman on the board.
