We had a great run to Tortilla Flats and Breakfast. I decided upon wakeup at 5:30am to go. 9 cobras. Got a few light sprinkles on my way to the starting point but nothing after that. Cool morning. Little traffic. Got home by 11:15am. Jeff, you should have joined us. Mike, Dan/Jenny and I drove from the good side of town.

Bob, didn't know you lived in Maryvale.

Danr55 09-06-2009 01:10 PM

Bob, you really need to structure your sentences correctly. That's drove "to" the good side of town, not "from" the good side of town.

It was a good run. Not a great run, but a good run. Mikie has the applications for the Veteran's Day Parade in Punkin Center so anyone who wants to go should get a copy from him or from me if you are on the good (east) side of the valley.

You see Bob. That's correctly structured.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 09-06-2009 02:14 PM

Karl, you are always welcome to ride along. We had 3 cobras with empty seats. Dan tried to stay up with the park ranger but had to back off.

I enjoyed today as it has been awhile since I have had the toy out for a jaunt.

I also had a great time until on the way back to the "good side" of town my car just quit running on the 101 at Hayden.
Thanks to a very good friend my car was up and running again, that is after he delivered me a new MSD coil and helped install it.
Thanks again Jeff Classic, you indeed helped me out big time.
I can only hope I can return the favor in one way or another.
Dan

Sounds like you all had fun. Come on now, tell us the good stories. This bunch never gets together without a few stories that start off with "You'll never believe this" or " the officer said" or "bet that's gunna hurt in the morning".

Bob, Don't poke at Karlos and Dan about the Good Side of town. If the learn the truth then they will want to move up here.

Dan & Ginny had a problem with thier Hot Rod a few miles from home. He told me they were cruzin along on the 101 and it just died. His coil went tips up. The coil was an MSD Blaster 3 that shorten internally so he had to replace it. Other than that he said it was a good trip.

mikiec 09-06-2009 04:18 PM

Well, If Dan and wife, I think they went shopping, left with the rest of us he would have had company on the side of the road. Either that or we would have driven by and laughed.

The joys of cobra ownership. DanR is getting old. He thought something fell off his car on the way there. Probably one of his marbles.

No cops this trip. They knew Karlos was down and out. Will he ever get that thing fixed. You know if he took the Ins money and ran he would have a car on the road by now. :):):)

No highway patrol, but there was a stationary camera cop mounted on an ordinary light pole by the HOV lane going west on I-60. I've never seen one that small. I hope I was doing 74.

Jeff, I have an extra MSD Blaster 2 coil new in box in the garage if you need one.

Thanks Bob,
Dan already purchased a new coil. I think he was darn glad it was just a coil. He was asking me if they are known to fail or what? I told him he should be good for a couple of years as a minimum and 5 or 6 if he keeps a spair in his trunk. :)

The Tortilla Flats pictures just aren't complete without that Chebby Orange car or the Kopper Kolored Kobra.

Danr55 09-07-2009 10:39 AM

Looks funny, doesn't it Karl?

mikiec 09-07-2009 01:29 PM

Yeah, That Kopper colored one does look funny. :):)

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 09-07-2009 07:03 PM

Dan, thanks for buying breakfast for all of us on your first Cobra run. Tradition is expensive when you first join, but you get some free meals eventually. So... Dave, when are you joining a run?

AZ Bob
