The Coronado Trail Run, Take II
I just spoke with Tucson John who is anxious to make this run. When he and I spoke of it at the Superior car show, we kind of agreed that if there was any interest, we'd try to go around 1 October either before or after his beer and brats party. Well, Beer and Brats is on Oct. 4 so he and I would like to try to run Coronado Trail on the weekend of Oct 10-11.
An intinerary that goes something like this: 10-10...... leave Apache Junction around 8:30. Pick up the Tucson guys and gals around 9:00 in Superior at the rest stop. Press on to Morenci and up to Hannigan's Meadow for lunch and then on into Springerville-Eager for the night. 10-11....Leave Springerville and stop at Molly Butler lodge in Greer for breakfast and then make the run back through Salt River Canyon to Globe and home. Should be home between noon and 1:00 on Sunday 10/11. Who's interested? I'll set up the motel and dining arrangements if we get enough folks to make this work. |
Thanks for doing this again Dan. I am in. I'll try to stir up some interest down here in Tucson.

Dan,
Count me in. |
Sorry Dan, Working that Sunday. Maybe next time. Enjoy.

Sorry John, can't make those dates. The Central Ave Cruise is on 10/10 as well as the Cars In The Park Car Show in Sierra Vista which is a large pretty well attended show. A couple of guys I talked to this weekend told me they were doing that show this year. I normally do Cars In The Park, but I will be doing the Central Ave Cruise along with two other Tucson Cobras this year.

Dan, what are your thoughts ? Should we make reservations in Springerville ? Or will you postpone this until next spring ?
|
Well, since it's only the three of us, I suggest we wait until we have a better turn out.
|
Make a decision.
|
I though I just did? We wait until spring.
|
Now I got'cha.
