Butler - Arntz?
Not sure maybe someone here can help me. I recently purchased a Cobra "dream car and has been may screen saver for years", and was told it was built by Ron Butler with a Butler Racing 302. I have looked on the left side frame rails and do not see any numbers stamped on the frame. Any idea what I have?

Looks like a very nice Cobra, but it isn't an Arntz or Butler. Engine placement, steering shaft, engine bay panels, nose cone and rear fender shape all point to it being something else.
Not sure what it is though. I'm sure if you posted the photos on the All Cobra Talk page you will find your answer. The additional bodywork either side of the oil cooler scoop will probably be a giveaway.

Having a hard time identifying. It has a square frame, Jag IRS and MG front end like an Arntz Butler. I am thinking the additional body work was from the manufacturing process and were to be trimmed but never were. Also the door latches look like those I have seen on other Arntz/Butler.

from what little i see of the front end, it doesn't look like MG but more like mustang II.
no pics of the latch but if you really mean the hinges thats the style alot of models have ...shell valley sells them, the pics your showing are showing parts of the car that are shared by many different manufacturers, if you take some pics of how the frame is tied together underneath and the rear end attachments maybe it will spark some response.
the frame up front by the radiator looks unique......but the crossmember looks like a factory mustang piece...

Thanks, I am taking it to the shop this weekend to have all the suspension and running gear inspected, I want to make sure everything underneath is up to snuff should the urge to stand on it comes over me. I will take your advice and take photos of the front and rear end suspension as well as the frame and post them. Thanks again

I'd like to see an interior shot or two and the dash. Fred he's talking about the upholstered forward mounted door release.
