351 c excess pressure in the radiator
hi there:
i just finished the assembly of a 351 c, i fitted it with a comp camshaft 2000 to 6000 rps, holley 750 cfm, stock cylinder heads, x celerator weiand manifol intake, pistong forged +.30 10-1comp. ratio, recently rebored the case to + .30 , weiand water pump, hi flow oil pump, new lifters pistons, rings, valves, seat valves, all bearings changed, griffing aluminum radiator. the engine practically has everithing new in it. i have a problem: when i just started the engine i did not overheat at all, but i had excess pressure in the radiator, it basically spitted all the water in a matter of 1 minute but the water was cold, i had to open the radiator cap to allow pressure to escape, i removed the cylinder heads and found that the cylinder gasket was ok ( i have only runned for an hour since repaired), i sent the cylinder for a leak check anda was ok but it has some deformation ( they said about .0008 or .008 (not exactly know how to write it). would it be the cause of the excesive pressure at radiator? thanks for reply. alfredo
