Finally the painter has sprayed some paint after 4 months.

The base colour is called storm titanium from Lotus. It's a medium metallic grey that gets a golden/titanium hew when the sun hits it. The first photo shows the effect of reflected sunlight hitting the bonnet. The second was inside the booth using a flash.

It should be finished early next week. I'll post some photos then everything is screwed back together.

Cheers
Al

The stripe is another Lotus colour, starlight Black. It's metallic too and when the sun hits it, it gets a golden and plum hews.

Thanks Les. I've been a bit quiet on CC for a while now but real soon I'll be able to post the fruits of my labour.

How come the hole for the scoop is completely cut out? Are you using a seperate scoop from the moulded RCM?

Yes, a separate custom scoop. The standard scoop just aint tuff enough

Fair enough, i havnt yet figured out how i am going to make mine look good. I think i will just cut out the bottom skin and smooth with fibreglass and filler.

The inside of your bonnet looks nice and smooth too.
Cant wait to see the pics of the assembled body.

BTW what brake discs did you end up using on the front? Are they the EBC ones?

Liam
