Default Cobra/GT40 market is alive and well it seems

Seems the market is still alive and well in the kit car seen.

I have heard of 2 cobras changing hands in the last few weeks, a beautiful
GT40 has a new home and another well known supercar all finding new owners....

And yes, before anyone says anything......... NOT YET!

Some friends who were at the Daytona Turkey Run last weekend told me that Cobras for sale were a dime a dozen. $30-35,000 were the asking prices. I doubt any of these fiberglass models will fetch anything near $60 K in the near future. ???

Perhaps not in the States, where the sub-prime crisis has hurt a lot of people. It's a different story over here in Australia, where people are being a little more cautious but there are still plenty of Cobra dollars being splashed around. Plus we have a lot more compliance issues to deal when registering a Cobra, so once registered they tend to hold their value.
