I will be heading over to Bathurst to support the club members attending.
We have QLD members in both Cobra's and GT40's attending.
Should be a blast for those lucky enough to get out on the track.
Some club members are getting out for practice on the Sunday, with the main racing for them on Monday and Tuesday.

Guy's,
It was a fantastic event, great weather, great company, the best track in the world ( well in the top 3 easy ) terrific pit garage ( GT40 X 2, 1 X Cobra, 1 x Daytona, 1 x A9X Torana ). No Jags this year so much less oil on the ground
Getting ready,

What a team

We were there,

Stiffy, just to let you know Jeff retired Monday last race with oil filter transfer plate blowing off on conrod, lots of smoke, bit of fire but ok- retired hurt ( ego) for rest of easter. Yesterday Don bent a conrod, flattened spark plug gap and possible threw a rod. Falvey's did a gearbox seal and bearing on Monday. Also Mrs Flatchat turned her oil pump drive shaft into a drill bit, got back out, didn't see her yesterday, but when we were leaving saw her bonnet up in the garage.
Best weekend ( long 6 days) by far.

Spooky,
Dax with a big block, 500+c.i., twin holley 4bbl and secret stuff. It's Don D's car. Considering last year Jeff won the regularity races doing 3.00 laps. On his last lap before engine expired he was chasing down the leader who did a 2.38. It's always a small bit that eventually breaks.

Bathurst
Dadndave,
Its certainly a car breaker. When I wa sputting the car onto the trailer the power steering pump was noisy, the thermo fan was always on and the steering was all over the place. I need a steering cooler and retune I think.
Boxhead,
I agree, its a very unforgiving track. Fast, too much concrete, 60 cars out there with you and I think of the nearly 3 years of Saturdays/holidays I have spent rubbing, gringing, painting, making, remaking and getting the lunch's....
Not to mention the $$$$$$$$$$$ AND Doug's time and effort.

Well Done..

Bloody oath, it is now a regular event!!! I did do a 2:43.5 on tuesday if you check the natsoft results.... fosc 2.
I will have some clips heading to youtube shortly, will post them up here.
It rained halfway through my last run on Tuesday so i didn't get a full run and there was a bloody m3 race car holding me up..... Poor old Wayne didn't even get a chance as the track was declared wet after my session and no slicks allowed. We all just packed up...
