Does not sound like a very pleasant engine building experience ... but at least he still has a sense of humor and he wrote a very clever 'AD' indeed.

Mate it bagged out the engine part / builder / supplier big time. The valve guides fell apart... the engine was basically a boat anchor for lots of $$
