Sorry to say Wazza, and please dont be offended, but that strip is one of the main things that put me off a Harrison.

It is just a personel opinion though.

Yes it would look better without it. I used a Hammerite coating on the strip and the sills have a clear stone guard adhesive.

That's cool...no offence taken...

I agree...they would look better without it....I'll show Warwick that RMC with the body dropped down a bit...might become the new "look" for Harrisons.

Side pipes usually cover up most of this anyway...not too noticeable with them covered over.

There's always something that catches the eye on all of the various replicas, and which might not appeal to everyone.

We all have heard the "skinny backside" comments on the DRBs...and when I look at a side view of a Factory Five...it always looks like it has a broken back to me.....

But I still recon both of these are very nice replicas.

It's whatever suits the owner.

I guess it would be as boring as bat $hit to all have the same.

Cheers,
Warren.

Wazza

Warren,

Looks great.

Checked your gallery out and the Cobra is moving along nicely.

...overnight room rate at the unit. Could swap a day or two at the award winning Club Knight.

Enter - and go to Projects - Extensions - then our residence. Mmm another free add for Tony..

Dear Mr. Knight,

Bookings have been heavy for the new "holiday house", and will slot you in where I can.

Seriously though....The move to "Unit Living" has been brilliant...We can highly recommend it.

And....... it's certainly not the worst place in the world to live.

( Just gotta do some sucking up to get a third parking space for the new car when it comes home...or Joanne's car gets to sleep out on the street in front of the building...should enjoy the salty sea air)

Had another squiz at your place....( a.k.a. Club Knight )...veeeeerrrry nice.

Yours Truly,

Warren Boylan,
Proprietor of Holidays Arse

.......(Sorry..."Typo"....that should read Holidays "R Us ")

Wazza,

Just a reference on the screen. Mine is 42 degrees from horizontal. It looks a little upright is all, otherwise looks good!!

All I know is that Mr. Harrison uses the latest technology........ a broom stick with two nails in it!!!!

The broom stick is rested on the back of the cabin...i.e. between the seats on the top lip/edge of the car....and the two nails are at right angles to the broom stick, and are then placed over the top of the windscreen........all of his are done this way, and therefore all of the Harrisons have the same "rake" to the screen.

Can't beat this kind of accuracy !!.....

But I'll check it again just to be sure....

Maybe DRB sent in some spies to move the nails !!!......bastards!!

Cheers,
Warren

I think when I researched this when mounting mine the originals were at 45, but ended up laying mine back just a little more as I thought it looked better.

I Think the further you lay them back, then the bigger you need to make the rubber weather seal across the front/bottom of the screen.
I Had another look at it this morning....seems o.k.

Like I said...I think it's the camera angle....

Have a squiz at the "Kirkham Advert" at the top of this page....that screen looks like it's also a bit too upright....but I'll bet it's not.

Cheers,
Warren.
