Cobra for sale

Hi All,
Well after much deliberation it is time to sell my car.
Thought i would put it on here first then i will try other advertising.
The car is a Harrison , Purchased in 04 The first in SA and the first with LS1 power
It has the GTR rear 4.1 ratio and 6 speed manual
Light grey leather trim
Heaps of pics in my gallery
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/s...0&ppuser=19543
Now i have a few ways in which i will sell the car.
64,000 you can have it with no motor.
66,000 you can have it with a standard LS1 which will be from a wrecked commodore.ECU will be tuned to suit.
72,000 you can have it with the fully rebuilt LS1 that is in the car now but with a standard LS1 manifold. ECU will be tuned to suit. This is a balanced and blueprinted motor with H beam rods ,forged pistons,Perfomance bearings,CNC ported heads,Shaft roller rockers, Big cam.
74,000 Gets the custom 8 throttle body manifold aswell. Having this manifold makes the car a little more challenging getting the car off idle. Once used to it its fine.
This is an award winning car and turns heads every where so if you dont like attention dont buy it.
Please dont hesitate to contact me but please dont waste my time.
either PM here or email me at finchrestorationspaul@hotmail.com
Regards
Paul

Great looking car Paul....good luck with the sale.
A quick question if you dont mind, where do the chrome trims that finish off the door rubbers come from?

Beautiful car at a very realistic price. Good luck with the sale Paul. I remember watching your build with interest a few years ago.

Absolutely fantastic car.
I think you should take about 8 months to think about this sale...then sell it to me because thats when I will have my funds sorted!!!
The pipes look very interesting. Also what state is the car rego in?

Hi Paul
Yep yours was one of the cars that turned me to a cobra and Harrison as a make. Hope you get what you want as its a credit to you.
Interesting remark you make about the injectors. Do you find it stalls a bit from idle. I love the injectors and seriously think about putting some on. Would you do it again or go for a supercharger maybe?

Hi
Hsvredsled . It has SA rego. Because mine was the first Harrison in SA the enginners report was massive so i cant see why rego in any other state would be a problem.I have changed the rear of the exhaust since giving the motor more horspower so its a bit different now.
I would love to sell it to you . leave me a decent deposit and i will hold it .
Bruce. If you think of a single 80mm throttle body on idle and you open the throttle 1mm you increase the air flow by a small amount, But when you have 8 x 50mm throttle body's and you open the throttle by 1mm the amount of airflow is a hell of a lot more hence it throws your head back more LOL.
I can drive it no probs every now and then it gets abit bunny hoppy. But the sound and horsepower you get is way worth it. You just have to be carfull how far you push the trottle moving of from the lights, once your moving its no different than a single setup.
Regards
Paul

You might want to look at making an eccentric bellcrank for the cable pull where it attaches to the throttle bodies. This will give you a smaller rate of movement at the lower start of the accelerator movement and a greater movement as you put your foot down. Might make it a bit more drivable off the mark.
Cheers

Hi
MIke, There is a few ways it can be sorted but i dont find it a problem. Just letting pottential buyers know its more dificult than a single throttle setup.
Hsvredsled, Looks like a good motor for cheap. As for cam what is in mine was
designed by Lewis engines and it is specific to my setup so probably not worth giving you the specs. Unless you buy the car with the motor.

Hi Paul,
Totally understand...I know cam specs are generally protected by shops which is understandable.
I am a bit of a newby in relation to all this, anyone know the legality of Harnesses in NSW or do they have to be retractable?

You can get a car registered over here in WA with harnesses, you just need approval for them, just like sidepipes...
I believe in NSW you can get a car "engineered" to replace the standard belts with harnesses.... I did this many years ago though with a Torana, so it may have changed since.

HI
I have retractables for the car any way that will come with . I just like the look of harnesses so i changed them after rego and i have been pulled over a few times and the cops dont care they just want to look at the car.

Paul - re the eBay listing, perhaps consider putting in the engine/s cost options (maybe this can't be done). I thought that they were well done in your original description. In the eBay ad it is less clear maybe.

Hi merv
I thought the same thing as you but the engine options where only for cobra club guys
For ebay its no motor or box at all.
If the winner wants the motor and box in it its a negotiation after auction.
I was prepaired to do some mucking around with engine combos for club guys.
Normally i have found with Ebay people want the cheapest option so this way they get that.
regards
Paul
