Stiff front end, soft rear end. Lots of weight transfer to the rear coupled with plenty of power lifts the inside front wheel on the exit to corners. Used to be a common sight in saloon car racing, RX3s used to do it really well.
You can get the opposite effect on front wheel drive cars. I club raced a Mini years ago and it used to lift the inside rear wheel on the way into corners. A friend following reckoned it'd get 4" off the ground some times.
Cheers

Time to turn up the wick on that stroker Al!
God willing I'll be a first time track virgin next year, but I'll be so careful a 5 minute track time might not be out of the question - lol. You can join me.
Not joking though, if I damage the car again I'll be skinned alive I'm sure of that, and Leigh's spin looks too close for comfort.
Did he get away with just damaged pride or did contact ensue?

Steve, I've already turned up the wick with a little bit of Mr Whipple. Baffled sump is the next mod before I get onto a track.
Great pics too

Hey there all the budding photographers, any chance I can ask if you have pics of my car on the track (Ochre colored car) then you let me know and I will pm you my email address.
I would love to see some pics of my (slowest LS1 Cobra)(and its not an auto) on the track (and off the track a few times)
Damn it, I should not have fixed Ben's car, I might have got a trophy then

Lol,
Must have been the lightened serpentine belt that gave me the edge!
Anyone know how we can get a copy of the "official" pics?
Cheers,
Ben

Deb & Danni took some great shots
As soon as Deb can figure out how to put all of the pictures on the one DVD she'll be able to send you all the ShelbyFest photos in exchange for $5.
then you can enjoy pictures like the one below in their full beauty
Just noticed how the dust is being forced out of the side vents - neat

Ben, I had the same problem at the nationals but with mud not dust. Gets everywhere!!!
We have some video footage of Shelbyfest.
This link takes you to the NSW Cobra site thread where the shortcuts to the videos are posted.
http://www.cobracarclubnsw.org.au/fo...ead.php?tid=94
So far there are two videos posted there, there will be more down the track.

Nice catch at 2:15 Reptyl.
Not sure if you noticed, but there are two more videos on the above forum link. They are less "packaged" than the first one but really highlight the great sound of our cars.
