Well heres the official MUSCLECAR results...

Great event as usual with plenty of Musclecar and Sportscar action

I have to thank our sponsors for kindly donating funds for Trophys,

please support the guys below that make events like these possible

SCOTTY AT VENOM COBRAS
WARWICK AT COBRA KITS
PETER AND TODD AT DRB SPORTSCARS/GT40 OZ

Plenty happened over the weekend too many to list here but a few things that standout,

Scotty blowing a turbo to bits and catching fire on the main straight,
but turning the car around for the next session!

Joe Bauer complaining of understeer in his million hp supercharged beast, when front tyres were inspected they were standard street tyres,
with toyo proxes rear, still able to turn very respectable 1.03s

Gary Hall finishing his new CobraByDesign Racecar Thursday night,
and turning up at the track untested, able to improve their laptimes by almost 4 seconds over the weekends sessions,
earning himself the Most Improved award for a first time Musclecar Rookie

Phil Aish also improving his times by 3 seconds over the weekends sessions in his n/a Lexus Harrison

Mick Warnock snapping the transmission yoke and leaving the tailshaft in the middle of Qld Raceway,
recovering it during the friday lunchbreak and off to driveline services, wreckers etc to get the Cobra back on track for the first session Saturday, then having an Msd fail also Sat arvo with scotty coming to the rescue installing a spare for Sundays sessions...

the fastest 3 cars for the weekend were seperated by 3Hundreths of a second!,

With Wayne Proctor flying the flag for fastest car for the Cobras over the Gt40s

I personally have to thank Sneaky John White for loaning me his spare car (cobra) for the weekend as mine is without engine,
the turbo lexus powered beast was quite a handful for a driver used to N/a power delivery,it tried to bite me quite a few times....

A quick note thanking you guys for a great day on Sunday at the MCC.

Good to eyeball you fellas that i've only met on this forum......I've got to say that the feeling in the pit amoungst the Cobra/GT40 crews was welcoming and jovial.

Looking forward to getting my car on the road and joining in the fun.

Greg

Great seeing you and Merv out there Greg! You'll both be joining us next year won't you...

Here's a scary thought.. Just did a diagnostic on my car and found it was only running 7 cylinders Sunday! Lol!!!!

7 CYLINDERS You were seriously fast down the back straight rounding up everything in your path. Get that baby setup and I'm guessing you'll be setting a new benchmark.

Had to laugh re overtaking. Paul in his RCR openwheeler was told to back off as he was scaring the Jag drivers in the Regularity event

Looking forward to poking around the track, last time it was at Amaroo and before that Oran Park in an old M3........both now housing estates so it's been a while

Could be good now that I have these camber adjusting arms fitted! Motor goes well now too! Geez Matt I think you should concentrate on 6 cylinders for a while and give the rest of us a go. Think of the racing fuel saved.
