Sjelby, post up some pics, I'm sure we'd all like to see.

Things are progressing a little. The rain has let up a bit lately and things have dried out. I got a bloke with a Bobcat to come in and level things out a bit. I also had 14 ton of crushed rock delivered and he spread it out to make a ramp up to the doors. I can now drive in and out and it's nice not to have mud everywhere.

I've got a bloke coming next week to do a concrete pad for the water tanks to sit on and then I can hook up the storm water.

Once the concrete had gone off I noticed the helicopter float had left a lot of swirl marks and ridges in the slab and it wasn't as good as I first thought. Fortunately the concreter came back and ran over the whole thing with a grinder and has smoothed it out. This weekend I'll epoxy coat the machine shop area in preparation for moving the lathe and Mill in there. The rest I'll leave a bit longer and let the concrete go off some more.

Cheers

If you are still thinking to insulate the sides inside the shed checkout ebay and other places there is a lot of R3.5 roof insulation going very cheap now.

Great shed, are you going to pave out the front or just leave gravel?

Hey Mike - looking at where your shadows fall, your neighbours won't be growing a lot of grass in their backyard!

Looks even better now with the crushed rock down.

I'm getting some more concrete poured next week. I hope the weather lets up a bit for that. Where it's going is a bit of a mud hole at the moment.

Sounds good sjelby

The concreter did the slab for my tanks today. looks good except for the paw prints running across it Cats seem to be magnetically attracted to wet concrete. It doesn't matter as there will be 2 big water tanks covering up most of them.

I've also now got electricity in my shed thanks to Gav Irvine. It's great to be able to go out there after dark and work on stuff. So far I've got 3 High bay mercury vapor lights in the center bay and they light things up like day light.

Cheers

It's been a while since I've updated this so I thought I'd post a pic of the Hoist. Finally got it in and working last week.

Over Christmas I put a few walls up and a heap of shelving. Things are getting a bit more organized now.

Next job is to finish painting the floor.

Cheers

Since Mando Asked for an update... Plus we need more build threads, shed threads and pics on this forum to keep it interesting.

I've been doing work around the house and shed lately and not much on the Cobra. I'm finally starting to get the inside of the shed looking how I want it. I've put up some internal walls and lined out the machine shop area and set it up a bit better.

I wanted a bit of a rustic look for the inside so lined the bottom with pine lining boards and stained them merbu and lined the top with zincalume. I also fitted a couple of skylight sheets over the area as it got quite dark once the walls went up. The silver corrugated tin reflects a lot of difused light so has really brightened up the area in both the day time and night under fluros.

I'm working on an office area with a dunny and a shower next. over the winter I got the sewer line run in and connected up. Mud everywhere.

Water tanks are all done and hooked up. Full now too! trenches are all filled in but I'm thinking I'll redo the overflow down pipes and drill through the slab. I'm already tired of having to mow around where they drop over the edge of the slab. I've just finished moving the overflow on the house tank to put it through the slab for the same reason.

Cheers

I have shed envy.

Inside looks perfect, move a bed out there and then little reason to go inside to the house.

Sounds good Stiffy.

I was thinking of posting up a reqest for a couple of helpers in a couple of weeks. I need to lift the body off the Cobra so I can paint the underside and the engine bay.

Cheers

Have you been talking to my wife?

I've been wanting to put a dunny and a shower out there for a while. One of my wifes pet peeves is me dragging dirt in the house from outside. If I can get cleaned up and changed in the shed before going in the house I think she'll be happier.
