It will accelerate tyre wear when I come over in the Cobra and hang a patch on your driveway too Mike.

I will get some mates to "pop" over.
Peg leg skids on Mikes new burnout pad.
Purple Valiants as far as the eye can see.
This guy can go first.

It's kind of set up like the summernats. A burnout strip with a donut pad at the end.

If that wasn't a Valiant Dave it would be awesome.

I've been checking out that forum for years, just reading, not posting. Lots of great ideas on there.Well worth signing up and having a good read.
A couple of months back I thought I'd throw a few pic of the shed on there since the way we build down here is quite different from the US. We don't have the same extremes of climate i.e freezing snow in winter hot in summer. We just have cold and wet in winter and fricken hot in summer.
Cheers

All ready for the drag racing.
It's all sealed and they did the saw cuts yesterday. We can put the cars back in the garage now. We just need a good rain downpour to wash away the dust from the concrete saw.
Might have to get the RC car out on the weekend and cut some laps.

The braking area at the end of the 400m looks challenging, could you leave a door open?

A bit of a shed update. I started building a heavy duty steel fabrication table a while back. With all the distractions I seem to fall victim to it's been sitting gathering dust. I got stuck into it over the last week and it's getting close to finished.
It measures 8'x4' and will have a 10mm steel top on it eventually. I've set it up so it's got sockets at various points around the table so you can plug tools and fixtures in rather than having them permanently fixed in place. Things like the vice or a tube notching tool can be plugged in and used and then put away when not in use. This should give a lot of flexability for doing different jobs.
I've got all the cross members welded in now and the sockets done at one end of the table. Just got to finish off the sockets at the other end of the table and weld the top on.
Cheers

Haha. Years ago I worked at a Big 4 bank. I used to think the vault door for the head office "strong room" was one seriously overengineered mofo, but it was a lightweight compared to what you are creating.
Should we be worried that you are starting to build the next Killdozer?!?!?

LOL!
I wanted something that was heavy and rigid enough that I can jig and weld things up with some decent accuracy without it moving around. I like the idea of designing and building my own chassis or a dragster frame eventually.
Cheers
