Hi Mando. I'm on a 1 acre block with a heap of landscaping to do. Stingy the tractor has moved a lot of dirt since I bought him. I figured buy a small tractor with front end loader rather the hiring a bobcat every time I want some soil moved. It's been handy for other stuff too. It's a great way to lift heavy stuff into and out of the trailer.

We'll let me know when your done with the little tractor Mike - I've got 50 acres and no tractor so might be interested in buying it then!

Great shed. Tried to find how much of that 2K you need for a 22sqm floor but couldn't find the coverage for concrete - how much did you use?

For the 8mx8m area I just painted I used 7L for the first coat and about 5-6L for the 2nd coat. The concrete soaks up the first coat so it needs a bit more paint.

Don't need a tractor for that. The LS motor is so light weight you can just carry one under your arm. I'll need to upgrade the hydraulics and put a big counterweight on the back of the tractor if you ford boys want to borrow it for engine lifting.

I don't reckon one 20L kit would do it. I reckon you would need 2 kits to do it properly.

I like my music playing when I'm working in the shed. I've had my stereo sitting on a shelf in the storage area. I quickly wired it up and threw it in there ages ago so I at least had some music. One thing that was always a problem was I couldn't hear it when running the Lathe or Mill since it was behind the wall.

I was machining up a new mount for the Cobra handbrake lever on the weekend (It's coming along nicely) and decided to do something about the lack of music when machining.

I fabbed up some swivel mounts for the speakers and hung them up on the wall out of the way. The cabling runs inside the wall. Having them on a swivel means I can point them where I'm working.

For the amp and I-Pod dock I made up a shelf and attached it to the wall. The speaker cables come through the wall behind it. The shelf also gives me a handy spot to keep the rechargeable work light and charger for the battery drill.

With decent tunes in place I had a very enjoyable afternoons machining.

Nice work, NAD amp...... That will run for ever and a day with plenty of power.

Can I ask how you attached the yellow tongue to the top hat?

Did you use any framing?

I don't use any framing, just self drilling 8G bugle head tek screws. I stand the sheet up first and pre drill it. A few spring clamps hold it in place when working by myself. I then run 4 teks across the sheet into each purlin. Use the lower flat section of the purlin that way if you run any cabling in the wall there's nothing for it to snag on.

With 4 rows of 4 teks on each sheet it's not going any where. The yellow tongue locks together and you end up with a very rigid wall.

Thanks Mike - I was thinking about using pine framing vertically, and attached to the tophat. Then screwing the sheets to them. I was also thinking about having the framing sit on the floor, and then the sheets can be 20mm or so off it - allows me to washed the floor.

I am thinking this is over kill - I like the way you have done it. I will just have to sweep up instead!

The bonus of having the sheets to the floor is that it will cut draughts from under the cladding too. I am going to insulate the walls, I might have to go with a thinner batt though.

My electrician mentioned running something like 50mm conduit so we have plenty of room to work with later...

Sound ok?
