Webber win!!!!
Well I'm surprised the man hasn't been praised more for his efforts of late!!!....Spanish GP was a tap on the shoulder to all those that have canned him over the years to say "I told you so, it was the car!!!"
...it was great to see him use those mirrors last night and not give an inch to either Vittel or Hamilton!!
....your thoughts?????

G'day Oz.
Great win by a great driver.
I'm a big fan of Mark's, and it was about time he capitalised on his starting position and made a good aggressive, quick start.
Personally I think his only weakness is getting off the line, however after last yesterdays efforts will be a big shot in the arm for him.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of the season, as this is without doubt his best opportunity to bring home the championship.
Cheers.
Steve.

Great weekend for Webber. His team mate Vettel did well to hold his nerve when the team were looking at the telemetry with a few laps to go telling him over the radio not to use the brakes as they were about to disintegrate... At 190mph, brakes are one thing that I'd like to have confidence in!

I was cheering like a lunatic, good on him... What a brilliant team..
I can imagine how Hamilton felt at the end... Gutted....
Keep it going Marky boy...

It certainly was a great win set up by some very agressive work getting into the first corner, but it had to be done. There was no way they were getting past this time!
Congrats to him and can't wait for the next race. They need to make hay whilst the sun is shining - it's a tiny window of opportunity they have in the grand scheme of things...

Hey guys was an even better drive last night !
If you add up his lead time time before each each safety car intervention he would have won by a micheal hair more than 1/2 minute.
A truly excellent result.

Weber caught speeding in the pit lane - that's a drive-through or a 10 second penalty. Oh, OK no penalty applied. Wonder why?? Doncha just love F1?

Webber got lucky. Start to finish two weeks in a row. Seriously,he and Vettel are quite a team.
Speaking of penalties Trevor, http://www.formula1.com/news/headlin...0/5/10799.html
Looks a little rough, but if anybody should have known not to overtake it would be Schumacher

The name of the game is to overtake first and then argue about the rules afterwards - amazed nobody else thought of it! I thought they were race drivers....(no, not really in many cases). I don't think that 'discussion' is over yet though

I love the spirt of the man.
You can't blame him for trying it i would have too who can remember the rules for finishing a race under a pace car even the commentators had no idea about the rule going on about vettle trying to jump webber before the line.
Schuey is still one of the most gifted drivers ever.
Lets all pray he keeps it up for the rest of season its been a long time since we had an Aussie f1 champ.

You could argue that the point of the game is to get to the front, but if nobody else knows you're going to pass, it makes it easier to jump around everybody. I'd love to know what Alonso was thinking as Schumacher came driving by.
Schumacher certainly had an incredible career. So far this season, he's just been in the way.

Alf Lonso was clearly asleep although every team manager (other than Mercedes) got in touch with race control to say 'That German Fellow' can't do that! Whatever - he's now 12th.
Trouble is, I can recall when F1 was a sport and not a corporate business so I have a jaundiced view of this circus, and the manner in which the drivers conduct themselves.

Webber easily gets criticised when things go wrong.
Without a doubt he has a very good car too.
The test will be when he hasn't got pole.
I like the guy and admire his approach - Well deserved.
Go Mark go go go!

Trevor; there was a time in F1 when it wasn't a circus?

There was a time indeed - when drivers would give up their car to help another driver who had a chance of winning a world championship. Stirling Moss lost a championship in this way - to him (and many others) it was as important to win in the 'right' way, without deliberately endangering other drivers or blatantly cheating. Now while we're on the topic of cheating..... ;-) that kinda brings the discussion full cirlce, non?
