Peter had the same setup in one car and he said it was fine. First gear was great for at least 10 meters (!!) in drags, but he still managed 12 secs. But that is his driving ability! It is perhaps not only the rear end, but the ratio of the US Mustang T5 first gear. The Aust T5 has a better ratio for first I am told. It could be interesting to consider swapping the Mustang first (3.35) with the Aust one (2.85 ?). For the moment I will be happy when I get it back and see how it goes. I was quite happy with the current rear end before.

Yes the existing EEC is used and they provide a chip that is inserted to relate to the new throttle body/MAF/injectors, etc. Standard distributor and coil can be used, or upgraded. The most of the original loom is also used. It is best to explain to the MassFlow guys exactly what you are connecting their system to so that they can provide the right chip, injectors and so on.

Well the Cobra is home now and a different car it is. Feels like someone has removed about 10 kilos from the flywheel. Now is much smoother to rev and faster to do so and has a great deal more power. Cruises at fewer revs and the exhaust note under acceleration is fantastic with the bigger ports. Nice slightly 'cammy' idle as well. Wires and cables moved to less obvious locations. Very pleased! Now to get those wheels cambered properly at the rear!

Thanks Geoff and Les. Yes Les the 331 may have to wait for another time! Motor is so smooth now and the sound is fantastic. Peter did a lovely job.

I will be there Greg. Not sure about the Cobra - long drive from the Sunny Coast and the weather has been garbage these days. I also need to get the rear wheel camber set up before I do any track attempts!! Would runout of tyres quickly, I fear.
