Phil,
Do you know if billet fuel rails is considered to be a modification?
I am assuming it is OK as long as standard injectors are used.
Cheers,
Ben

Ben,
I have no real say in this stuff, it would be best to talk to Phil Lynn, Dave Richards or Neil Streeting.

Speedweek featured a recent Lakeside meeting on their show last Sunday. A guy with an XR6 Turbo was complaining that he'd been pinged for noise the day before. I've heard an XR6 Turbo without mufflers (not just gutted cats, but literally no mufflers), and it didn't sound anywhere near as loud as a heap of local and interstate Cobras and GT40s that I've heard...

Mr Marsh I believe you are throwing some cats (pardon the pun) amongst a flock of fighting pidgeons......... I realise they (CAMS) have a noise restriction but seriously...... who is gunna complain? 200 Merino sheep in the neighbouring paddock.... Or that crop of Yellow flowers that always seem to be there...

Dodgy pun, but it was there for the taking...!
Mr Marsh is the taller of the two of us (who'll be strapping the helmet on and getting some track time down there in the Merc if everyone else gets booted!)
Nah seriously though - I completely agree that there's no reason for there to be any issues if a little bit of discretion / leeway is allowed.

Beter start cracking Ben,
I am sure you will have it all together and have had no time to test anything, yet you will turn up at Goulburn after driving down and race all weekend.
Dont forget to sort out your alternator alignment or get a spare 5 rib belt

the person who will complain at wakefield is the old copper who lives just a stones throw from the track.
he has been known to call in the local coppers to defect people leaving the track heading back into town.
keep it on the track and behave on the roads and you should be ok.

Hi Dave,
Just had a double belt of morphine and I'm feeling really good now. Today. I had to take the Cobra to the Dyno to have the gearbox solenoids adjusted for pressure through the Gearbox ECU computer. I have a severe surge from 1st to 2nd, just like a 1963 Hydramatic. My car has a Corvette MAF tune and doesn't respond to a Tech 2.
What occured then is another hiccup. The trimmer was here last night ro finish off a couple odd things. Went out this morning to start her up and take it to the dyno at 9am and guess what? Odyssey Battery dead flat. Had left the LED boot lights on all night. 5 hours later arrived at the Dyno. At least it wasn't raining. Pick it up tomorrow. The car certainly created some interest in the car park. I hope to be at the Nats as a 3rd Year Spectator, but can't promise too much.
I was so impressed at how easy the new knee slid into the car.
Hope to see you in Oct.
Baz

Pretty sure I wont be there Baz, I will be driving from Alice to Innisfail over the Nationals weekend.
I will be in the Cobra so plan on seeing a few Cobra guys when I reach Townsville (Sat 2nd Oct) And there are some Valiant guys to catch up with.
I will be leaving Alice on Friday teh first and drive to Mt Isa, stay over night then Saturday is Mt Isa to Townsville.
I will leave Townsville by about 2.30pm on Sunday for the drive upto Innisfail.
I have some mates who will be walking of the golf course about 4.30 in Tully so it would be good to suprise them by just turning up. They all knew of my want to have a Cobra but do not know that I now have a registered driveable one.

Box, Tully has the reputation for being the wettest town in Queensland. I reckon the 19th hole at the golf club is going to be the wettest spot in Tully that afternoon!
