Unfortunately, it isn't mine.
Latest cobra in emerald, qld is a FFR SP vehicle, apparently the 2nd one, or 2nd model made. (I was trying to absorb it all sorry). It has just come across from the US as parts and is now an assembled roller. Sturdy rollbar setup with 2 bars coming forward into the cockpit. It has seats, radiator, wiring, fuel bits etc, mustang f/r bits, no motor or trans.
The guy has a nice new DOHC with webbers on his floor, Oh to dream....
It will need to be readied for ADR's, had a look at some things today.
We are very interested to hear what others have done regards converting to RHD. Is TF Corty the go? Any clues on modding the mounts? Any cut and shut of the TF rack required?
Must nearly be more cobras in this area than the gold coast now LOL.

Is it black one with a red roll bar????? FFR Racer you say???

Here's the one I am talking about!
Last owner was a guy in QLD who raced bikes..... I ran down its entire history as I was considering buying it! It's a long way from the original FFR Spec racer....
Niceish car...just not for me... Then again, for what my engine freshen up cost me I could have bought the whole bloody car!!! Lol Lol Lol

Looks cool. FFR do have a racer only version of their car, they call it the Challenge Car. Details here http://www.factoryfive.com/chalhome.html
This is based on the Mk3 version.
The latest cars, or Roadsters as FFR call them (not Cobra's mind thx Mr Shelby) is now the Mk4, and this is what I have ordered, along with 2 others from this way.

No, not the black one.
I believe the one I saw has not long landed in the country.
It looks very similar to number 50 below.
Will get some pics when and if I can.

True! I forgot the company name of yours. I though that Harrisons was in some arrangement with FF? I seem to recall a couple of Daytonas being made there?

G'day Guys,
I'm in NSW and want to find out a bit more about the coupe build costs for us in Aus - importation etc included. Would you mind if I PM'd you some questions? I'd feel rude to just PM you without asking first or having a number of posts up so that people know more about me!
Cheers,
Treeve

Cheers Warren,
I've just had a quick look over the website; certainly buying Australian is my preferred option - so much less hassle with sorting bits and pieces which may be missing from a kit. Also having a manufacturer who is clearly aware of ADR requirements is a priceless addition, and not something I have to worry about by buying locally. The final added bonus is the fact that it is RHD drive to start with. I'll give him a call later to discuss what I'm thinking of.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Treeve,
just to provide another POV, if you consider that the FFR kits come with pretty much everything you need in the kit, it is in fact a whole lot less hassle that with most aussie kits where you need to chase up a heap of stuff ....
Sure you will need to change out some items, but I still think it will be less hassle.
As for the RHD, stay tuned. FFR are making noises about a RHD kit coming soon

Then Treeve you face the NSW registration issue but thats another thread. Be interesting if that would be even more difficult with a car from outside Aussie as it appears almost impossible now.
