When you guys downunder (I hope that is not offensive) please send, post or publish your stories.
There is a 5 liter FFR with twin turbochargers that runs low ten second 1/4 mile on YouTube.
It makes my 7 liter Roush look a lot less powerful.

Yeah, theres about 280mm between the wheels and the footwell, and the turbo's (T3T4) are about that length face to face. There are lots of turbos around, and the genTT kits use the same turbos i was going to use based on the flow calcs. The ones i bought for test fitment were 150 each. Figured at that price i could throw em away!
I'll see if the video holder/missus will let me do a shed skid! hahaha

Can you make a video of a shed skid? i like shed skids, and so do the boys
I've made my own twin turbo kit to suit my cobra, with the turbos in the guards like that too (though flat). To do it I had to use very low profile air filters (hks mushroom filters) with one turbo slightly higher then the guard vent and the other quite low, due to brake booster and mc. i used the same turbos in the genTT kit. Their small exhaust housings REALLY helped make room.
I've got turbo heat bags / beanies over the exhaust housings, earls fireproof sleeve over the brake lines and thick shielding around mc and booster. All exhaust and inlet is wrapped. Oil is scavenged too.
Its tight, and hot, but persistence made it happen
Did you research any other twin kits before deciding on the turbos? genTT kits use visually smaller turbos and make the numbers with very low boost.
there's a set of install instructions on the net and that covers most relevant issues you could face.
also there is a company that has made vertically laid turbos possible, i think it's called aerocharger turbo systems.
I hope it becomes possible. Because they're a rare breed twin turbo cobras

I think the Yella Terra kit makes the engine taller. I've space limited in height under the bonnet!
Plus I just like the sound of turbos!

That was my option if I had not decided to go the head/cam route. Nice product, but would have required re-inspection for a road car.

Just had a quick search through aerocharger's website to see what makes it possible, and found this quote
'A further advantage of this self-contained lubrication system is the fact that the turbo is no longer reliant upon being lubricated by the engine itself. There are no high pressure or lines or seals to fail and reduced oil leakage into the engine for low particulate emissions. This also allows for more mounting options to be available for the turbo including both horizontal and vertical installations'
So turbocharging couldn't be made simpler, no oil or water lines turbotimers or complex boost controlling methods. All self contained, and they have kits to suit america's G8 pontiac...
Any news on a shed skid yet?
Thumbs up for trying in the last video

I wasn't trying in the last video!! HAHAHA The biggest issue is the front grip is less than the rear grip, so it skids forwards!

Build Update!
Hi All,
Update on my cobra:
- I've bought the tuning software for my engine, and i've uploaded my first tune... Very cool!
- I've been finishing off little jobs, that were half done in preparation of the body coming back on.
- Wiper motor is in and wired, with the Mini wiper motor being adapted to the Ford modern wiring. Variable Intermittent working!
- Fuel tank is constructed for aluminium and fitted. New pump fitted also.
- And then i dropped the body on it this afternoon!

You're a very lucky guy seven. Not only does she tolerate you throwing all that money at a car, but she even cooks you lunch on the barbie

Looks like she is contemplating the list of things she will ask for once the car is finished
Certainly an interesting car

American Racing (or licenced from or something) I found on Ebay. 17x7 17x8 no offset. I needed 17 to fit over my front brakes, and i didn't want bigger than a 235/245 on the front as it still has manual steering. At least than $1000 a set, I'm happy, and I like the hotrod style they have. I thought too many had the halibrands, and I wanted something a bit simpler.
