I was going to post this last week...but it would have been butting in on the Absolute Pace-a-thon.......
After a six month build....stretched out over almost Four and a half years !!!!!
I FINALLY got the Cobra registered.
Had a bit of a test drive on trade plates waiting to clear the final hurdle ...
( many thanks to Craig White for these... I PROMISE my next one will be an Absolute Pace)...
....and managed over 1,300 Klm's in a couple of weeks testing...and now it's been registered for just over a week, and I've added another 900 Klm's already.
She's an awesome machine to drive, and I LOVE that LS7.
Thanks to Warwick Harrison for the car....
and big thanks to Scotty Hampson for his genius fabricating skills......
and of course...the faultless work of Peter "Chunky" Hancock for the best wiring job I've ever seen.
also ...very happy with the interior... Kerry Morrow created exactly what I had "in my head".
also, many thanks for all kind comments on the finished product.......
Showed it off a bit at last weekend's MACLEANS BRIDGE CAR SHOW at Lakeside Raceway, and went home with a big head after all of the "thumbs up" we got.....
now...
It's time for another drive.
Cheers,
Warren.

It's a beautiful thing Warren; the type of car that pulls you in and keeps your attention while you appreciate and try to absorb all of the incredible little details.
Very impressive!

Wazza, you have built an incredible machine, the photos just do not do it justice. The attention to detail is amazing.
As Craig mentioned, you really need to spend time with it in the flesh to absorb all the detail. Some very, very clever thinking and a very well excuted build.
A real credit to you and everyone that was involved.

Looking forward to this coming Sunday morning...
It's our monthly breakfast meeting, and we're combining it with our Annual General Meeting ( A.G.M.)
We're meeting at our usual car park at the Red Rock Restaurant early Sunday morning, and heading off on a run , taking about an hour, up over the mountains behind the Gold Coast, to arrive at "Canungra Valley Vineyard" .
Wineries Gold Coast Hinterland - O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat
The club will shout everyone a nice breakfast, and we'll see who ends up being the 2013/2014 committee.
I'm putting my hand up again for the Club President's job...
This will be my 11th. year in a row if I get put back in...but happy to be tapped on the shoulder , if they want to change.
The reason I tagged this on to this thread, is because after over 4 years, I can lead a run to somewhere in the Cobra, instead of always nominating someone, and tagging along in my ute.
It might be my last run as pres...so I'm going to enjoy it.
It's all polished up and ready to go....
Hope the bloody rain stays away!!
Cheers,
Warren.

It helps with the 0-100 kmh. times !!!
I didn't notice it...but I have a lot of "spotters" that don't let me get away with too much.
I fixed it by turning the key on and off again ???
Gremlins are always in there .
Cheers,
Warren.

Looked fantastic on the road, and considering your group made it to the winery about 10 minutes before others, it obviously goes well too.
(I'm blaming the traffic lights at the roadworks a bit for my tardiness, but Leroy17 was even later still...)

The car survived it's first "run" with the club, up to Canungra Valley Vineyards for the A.G.M.
A really nice run over the mountains, and a nice place to go.
The sky was always threatening to rain...but it held off and we all got home dry as a bone.
Many more runs to come, now that I can actually take part in them.
and thanks to Peter Dore for the pics...as mentioned previously they're all on our club facebook page.
https://www.facebook.com/QLDCobraClub
But here's a couple for anyone who's interested, and can't access the FB page.......
Cheers,
Warren.
