Wazza's Cobra update.
Xmas morning....
Waiting for everyone to arrive....pouring rain here at the "Gold" Coast ...
Playing with the computer, and thought I'd throw a couple of newer pics onto the gallery,
Not much progress I'm afraid....
Suspension all back on...
A few more "Bling" items attached,
Dynamat nearly all done....( LOVE that stuff ! )
Interior chosen, and leather ordered,
EARLY 2011....it will be full on.....
Git er Done !!!
Cheers,
Warren.

Looking great Warren. Nice how that colour changes according to the reflected light.

Thanks for that.....
The reverse lights are one side ( Four Lenses) of XF Falcon set...
i.e. four lenses split into two each side of the Cobra
Cheers,
Warren.

This has been a QLD trend for a while. I copied them off Geof (Cob 07)

It is....
Thought the Grey was a good idea about 6 or 7 years ago, when I started ( In my head ! ) building this new car.....always loved that "Eleanor" look of the mustang, and pictured a really nice Cobra in similar colours.
I hadn't seen ANY Grey Cobras back then, and thought my "new" Cobra would really stand out from the crowd.
Then in the last few years, just as the car was actually taking shape...I saw so many Grey Cobras coming out, I was tempted to have a re-think......
But in the end I convinced myself that I should stick to how it looked in my head all this time...or in just trying to be different from everyone else , I might end up with something I didn't like...
I'm really happy with the end result, and that's what matters I'm sure.
Might paint the wheels PINK.......

A very good choice Warren. Mine seems greenish at times. Especially in the rain!

Great Idea....Then we could all look different.... TOGETHER !!!???
Not sure about the clear....my only request ...apart from the colour scheme...and the pin stripes ...was PLEASE...no orange peel in the paint....and Des did a great job....very happy with it.

Des did mine as well.....pretty happy too. My only issue (and am i being pedantic?) is on some parts of the stripes you can feel a hard edge as though the clear wasn't thick enough or maybe another buff might blend them out.
Any paint experts know how you'd smooth it off?
To his credit though, when I picked up the car (a year ago) he said to me bring it back when it's all done and he'd sort it out. Just curious to know how!
