Default Electric heater switching update

A while back I posted a question about knowledge of sources for rotary switches and thought I'd flag what I'd found.

My plan is now to install a couple of rotary style switches to the dash to actuate heater tap and air flow choice, instead of choke type pull cables.

Was chasing the switches first but clearly I also needed an eletric heater tap and another servo to motor the air box slide.

Having seen Stiffy's very nice Vintage Air heater controls in the Daytona I had been talking with them on using these but they are designed for electronic climate controls so no good.

VA however led me to the assembly pictured below and it has solved all my needs in one hit.

I've bought one of these units to see how it performed and I now plan on getting a second. It is a variable operation so you can set anywhere from fully closed to fully opened on the tap. For the second I just remove the tap and the servo will be connected to my air slide

The plan is to mount the two switches add my own style of identification plate and a couple of annodised knobs to sort of get the VA effect in Stiff's car.

VA have numerous distributers in Oz. CoolDrive here wanted $185 for this but the other distributer was way cheaper and Cooldrive essentially matched their price so am now ready to kick on and get this gear fitted.

Thanks to those that tried to point me at something similar.

Mando

I'm down the coast at the moment but reckon the barbs are 5/8th however just dial up the Vintage Air site and have a look at the Oz distributors to see who provides in SA. Cool Drive are a likely chance but see if there is competition to get the best price.

Cheers

Steve
