Default Australia Day Forbes, NSW

Hi everyone, this is my first post, i have been lurking fior a while.

My name is Justin and i have been in love with Cobra's since my dad bought me a die cast model of a 427 when i was a little kid, they truely are an awesome car.

I have plans of building one as soon as i can finish the other projects that i have going at the moment, im sure its an all too common story.

anyway, what i wanted to ask here was.........

is there any cobra owners on central NSW (or further away) that would be interested in joining us in Forbes for the Worlds Best Australia Day Parade!!!

there are no events as such but we basically line up at about 4pm and start to head down the main street (lined with oodles of people) and then we end up at the ovals down next to lake forbes, its a really beautiful spot.

There is light entertainment and food available there aswell.

it really is a great day and the townfolk all come down to check out the cars etc.

the other thing is, the Midwest drag Racing Assn. INC. are building an 1/8th mile national spec drag strip just on the outskirts of town, it is a mamoth task that is coming along quite nicely, if you woukld like to check it out we have started a website and a forum.
www.mdra.com.au

it still requires some content but you will get the general idea.

your presence on Australia Day will definately help us with our cause.

hope to see you there!!!!

cheers, Justin.

Hello Justin

I'm a bit far away to make the trip but wanted to wish you luck setting up the drag strip.

It is indeed a massive task - its great to see someone having a go to set up a facility for safe racing.

Good luck with the parade

A bit too far away for me.

Hope it all goes well.
