Unhappy Paint Chip .....AAARRGGHH..

Today while i was putting my car away i picked up the air hose to blow the dust off my car before putting the cover back on but the air gun came out of its connection and landed on the top of what would be the left hand front guard .
It has left a half moon shape chip right down to the white f/glass ,
Has anyone dealt with those mobile guy`s who can repair chips etc ? , I may just try to do it myself but its in a terrible place . I would like to paint the car , How much would a paint job cost as the car is already RED i would not need under the bonnet and boot etc painted just a going over the top again ? .

Thank`s
Rick

Bad news mate. I am not sure about the mobile dudes, but a respray should cost you anything from $1500 $many many thousands.

Is the chip very noticable to others? or just to you? This ofter makes my mind up when i have to fork out for paint and the like.

The chip is in a very nasty place , So it will have to be repaired professionaly . The paint on the rest of the car is excellent so i am hesitant to have the car painted unless it continues to drive me crazy .
If i do choose to repaint the car i think i will strip the car and rub it down myself then simply have it towed to a panel shop .
I will try to find one of these mobile guy`s first and see what they say before i decide what to do .

Cheer`s
Rick

Sad news from you, but perhaps you can mount some decals for the moment ?

Have a nice day

Hey Rick,
If you are in Goulburn for the Nationals, why not ask 100 Cobra owners, you are bound to get some interesting replies !

If you're intending to compete, you would had to register by now otherwise I doubt whether you will get in.
