A good tradesman always cleans up after himself,
A good customer has to realize he will be paying for the labour to do it

But if a price is quoted, should that not include clean up afterwards?

Nah all is good, my guy does actually clean up and has been, I have no complaints in that regard with my builder.

Sure I have no doubt I will find a screw here or there at some stage, but all bits he has trimmed etc he has picked up.

Should be safe for the cars, tractor however may hit one when mowing.

And a bad tradesman will quickly realise my hourly rate is alot higher than his when I deduct my time cleaning up his mess from his bill.

Cheers

Well we have had pretty consistant drizzle to heavy rain since about Thursday night.
The builder has managed a little bit here and there.
I chatted with him Saturday morning as I am flying to Melbourne tomorrow and will not be back for over a week.
I did not want to leave owing him money, and asked if I could pay him full amount now.
He said he does not want the total amount yet as he is not finished, and he also said bill will be $6k no more as it has gone together well and easy, not my fault it is wet.
I must say I am very happy with his work ethic and have told a few local car guys.

He is working at another place at the moment hoping for the rain to stop. When it does he will be back at mine to button it up.
Here is a pic from balcony this morning.

Time for an update.

While I was in Melbourne last week, the builder finished my shed (the assmbly part anyway). He will be back in about 2.5 weeks to do the slab.

P/A door.

And the red centre is not so red anymore.
This was all slashed about 3 weekends ago.

Guess what I am doing after I lay the plastic and mesh for slab.

Hehe, I was just looking at some other pics in my photobucket, the folowing pic you can see a tree in the background above the bonnet, The pic above shows the same tree on the far right of image.

Damn you grass, stop growing.

Grabbed the local paper this morning and spotted a hoist for sale, checked it out at lunch time, I now own a Molnar 2 post hoist

It gets delivered on Monday.

Once again I have changed plans, hoist is going in main shed.

Not to scale, but you get the general layout.

Dave, have you received permission from the Traditional Owners for all this construction?

Looking to become a great area for meetings as well as Cobra and other car re/construction. Like Liam, my tiny double garage is seeming quite inadequate.
