Well, weekends have been crazy busy for the past couple of months (I have been home 3 weekends since start of June).
Spent today out there running hibay lights and power points (doubles every 4 metres).
Took a quick snap.

Then late this arvo I also started to remove sheeting where sheds will join, measured up required steel and will also grab that tomorrow.
I have fitted a socket plug to hibays and will be digging holes tomorrow after work to cement the poles in for shed joint.
Hope to have electrical work completed by friday night so I can get sparky in to connect on Saturday morning.

Gees Dave you may need your own power station for those? Do you have solar out there? Would seem the ideal location.

Have looked at Solar, and will be doing it (shed build got in the way).
Lights are probably over done, but I hate working in the dark.
In all honesty it will probably be bright enough with just the centre 2 lights on.
They are wired in 3 seperate circuits along length of shed, so can only turn on the ones I need.
With the roller doors down, there is enough light comming in through the clear panels in the roof, I think something to do with all the insulation on the walls, reflects light everywhere.

Uscrewed all the sheeting between two sheds last night, dug some holes and cut the uprights to length.
I will be cementing the poles in tonight.

I also had 1 row of lights on last night while working, Fark it was bright

Managed a little more progress over the weekend (had to do the right thing with my beter half on Saturday so lost most of the day)

I made a new end "A" frame for roof truss, I have ordered more "C" section for the last of the rafters.
Once they are in place I can screw the roof sheeting in place with flashing and centre cap.


Here is the view from inside new shed, looking to old shed, the centre upright will come out once the 2 extra ones are secured to the ground.

Getting a paid job out of the way then it is Cobra time.

I picked up a lathe on Saturday, she is an old one but good enough for the sort of uses I will have for it.
Cost me a carton of Rum & Cola, and I also bought a carton of XXXX Gold for teh boys in the workshop.




Its a Colchester Master model, 6.5 inch, I think it is a "series one" model that dates it to 1955/1969.
A few companies in the UK list all parts are available.
Once I find the serial number I should be able to figure out a little more about it.
3 phase and was working when moved outside.

I had a name change yesterday, I became known as Davidicus Boxyopolous.

Now please excuse the mess, but I have just moved stuff "out of the way" to get the job done.
The time had come to concrete the "gap" between old and new sheds, I also had to remove the centre support from old shed (had put two extras on teh sides).
Then clean up the area to concrete, add plastic and reo mesh, also placed the bolts in the ground to secure the new supports.




Then I started mixing and pouring concrete.








Then I went over it with a broom about 4 hours later, pobably should hae waited another hour or so.


The finish is not as nice as the new shed, but beter than the old shed.

It was a 5.30am start, and all was done and cleaned up by 10am.
there was 280 shovel loads of agg mix and 260kg of cement powder into that floor.
And it was warm, after a shower I ducked into town.

A little more organising and cleaning up happened.
Some shelving for getting everyting off the floor.


Half a dozen of these scattered around the workshop.

And you can see the mess in the background of the picture, that was all tossed there during shed build and moving walls etc.
Well, it was time to clean that up, now that there was shelving storage, tossed some out, kept some and will sell some other crap off.
Cleaning it would also give me access to the swampy again, and give me room to pull the K frame and suspension from the donor car for George the Goon.

Thats as far as I got before a mate arrived with a 6 pack of Boags.
