My Engineer correctly responded to the RTA with this submission:-

"The rear bumper bar follows the contour of the rear bodywork and finishes before it would need to be returned to follow the curvature of the mudguard. It is considered that the ends of the bar do not provide a risk of hooking or grazing. The bar however, can be removed if required to leave only the over riders at the rear."

I think I might go longer than 3 years. Something tells me that i've been classified as a 'S#itstirrer' and sentenced to purgetry. Never mind. I am looking for something to do in retirement. Bring it on.

I received a copy of the RTA response to my second Engineers report yesterday. The Inspector informs me that my Engineer has omitted to supply all of the information requested previously. He hasn't indicated what exactly that missing information is, so I have emailed him requesting that he supply details of the omissions so that we can address his further concerns. Seems logical to me, or does it mean, 'I know what's missing from the report, but I'm not telling you what it is. You might find it eventually.'

Baz , have you thought of getting your story into Unique Cars Mag?
It has a big audience and good things may happen.
Its just a thought.

"It's a wise man that waits till he achieves his goal before he stirs the pot."

It has to be a quote from some President sometime in the past, but I can't remember who. It sure makes a lot of sense though.
