By the way, does the new chassis design allow for the rims to have dish on the front and rear? Please keep posting pic's as you go along!
Regards.

You don't have to weld on a plate you can attach it with 'Drive Screws' They are like old fashioned hammer rivets with a spiral flute down the shaft. Once in you need a chisel to remove them They are accepted in NSW ! ( i'm not sure if the pic will come out. if not I'll try again.

Mando, thanks for the comments, i look at your pics regularly for ideas and inspiration so much appreciated, i have made up braces to support the rear of the body after comments from Boxhead awhile back, the back end is definitely flimsy off the chassis.
The wheel offset will be same as Gregg's (GJKRV8) if i don't mod anything, see his pics, but when i get back to Melb, I'm going to destroy a front hub to see if i can get another inch out of it, there is plenty of room from disc to knuckle for clearance.
The rear seems to have plenty of scope to move the whole knuckle in further as all the arms are very long, this would need some decent workings to get the lower arm geometry right, beyond me at the moment, i need some knowledge on how to design. Maybe some night classes with teacher "Aussie Mike".
Rob, excellent idea with the drive screws, a quick phone call has confirmed this acceptable in Vic, so i can make up a plate to suit, drill some holes for the Drive Screws and install after stamping in the future. thanks for that, should be very neat.
Modena, hurry up and get your kit, i need somebody local to bounce ideas off while standing around gas bagging.
Dave

... the research and development on the Classic Revival just continues to press on.
Dave - Ditto the sentiments above - Really nice work.
I don't live all that far from you, I'm thinking I might have to volunteer to sweep your floors to get a closer look
Mando - I'm sure there would be purchasers a line a mile long if you chose to part with your beast
