There was a problem with my Cobra body during construction, something to do with gel coat not coming out properly, so most of the body was scrapped and started again - that's ok, I'd rather wait a few more weeks and get a quality product! The car should now be about 2 weeks away.

Fitout on the man-room is progressing, plaster is now up, interior brick walls painted, cabling roughed in;

Looking good.

I like the exposed agg concrete. I've been thinking about it for my driveway.

Cheers

much more garage progress this weekend, plaster and painting finished, Racedeck is down, and Gladiator cabinets are installed with more on back order;

before;

Racedeck unboxing;

Racedeck installed, only took a couple of hours with some helpers;

Gladiator cabinets and tool trolley, with benches and more cabinets on the way;

Ready and waiting for Plasma...

A regular Garage Mahal! Looks great Ben.

Are you still interested in borrowing my chassis trolley?

Cheers

thanks guys, it is turning out how I envisaged, which is a good thing.

Mike: I don't think so initially, but I might as the car build progresses, thanks again for the kind offer.

Dave: I hear you, I am putting cabinets/bench the same width as those small cabinets you can see on the back wall, so will have 6x71cm = 4.26m of continous bench space, and probably another separate bench for drill-press, bench grinder etc.

Lynch me now, but I even omitted the fridge in order to have more bench and cupboard space!

Default Doing it again

Modena,

If I was doing it again I would allow for more storage and bench space.

I have pulled apart the XC and have crap everywhere. It is amazing
how much storage space you need for 1 car.

Your garage looks really nice Modena, just a hint dont do the body work in it, its the bog dust, it goes everywhere and nothing is clean ever again. Found that out last week

Looks excellent Ben. I'll definitely be looking out for the shed run.

I like the flooring - racedeck? - i'll have to suss that out.

(FYI, my shed progress has been slow over winter - although I did buy FIVE sheds last month when I bought a farm up in Mansfield. Maybe I should put that up for a shed run weekend?)

the rest of the Gladiator cabinets are now in, and the rack (far left corner) is built (I'm an IT geek - the rack holds amp, shed-computer and other IT stuff)

the benchtops are Gladiator, made for those cabinets. They are sealed MDF, quite nice. I wouldn't want to weld on them, or smash it with a hammer, but for general purpose they're nice.

Looks fantastic.

All you need now is your Cobra.

Is it far off?
