Yes Gav I should be. Motor will go to get cleaned, crack tested etc this week. Then I need to order new pistons, conrods, heads etc. We are not racing again till first weekend in September so if i have it together by then I will be happy. New heads will mean a little more hp... hopefully won't sacrifice too much low down torque..

First pick looks like the head of a valve popped off then hammered around in the cylinder beating the head to pulp. The second pic looks like the hammered piston.....OUCH.

Ash, not good news.

Raw racing results from the weekend here:

NATSOFT Race Result

Will see if we can get some formatted results posted.

Some great racing, great times, great weather and great company. Yeah, it was a GREAT weekend.

Yep that pretty much sums it up.

Early style Trick Flow Twisted Wedge. Reading around the forums reveals it's not an isolated incident. Apparently they fixed the problem in the later ones. Anyone from Trick Flow reading this that wants to offer to pay some of my repair bill is most welcome...... Although I will prob be getting the TFS FAC 190 heads to replace these...

On a separate non related matter.... anyone need a spare used Trick Flow head suit 302. ONly driven (hard) on weekends.....

Don't worry Merv, my heads were at least 15 years old....... Reason I know this is they changed them about that long ago.. Yours will be fine.
