Being that the chassis is in Queensland maybe it's a King Cobra or whatever it was called.

Depending on the degree of heat, I wouldn't "touch" it.
In doubt, pass.

There is a Mk4 chassis floating around in Germany since 20 years where the aluminium parts have melt in the fire.

Not sure from what temperature steel changes its properties, but I don't want to find out ...

Not RCM,

RCM chassis rails are 125mm x75mm.

It could be an Evans or W&E chassis.
The A pillars (for want of a better term) are slighlty different to mine and the cross bar in mine is 40 x 40 RHS. straight, without the contour. Has a lot of similarities though.
