With such a light weight car, I thought about making up 2" or so taller ones too.
That little amount can make a big difference working under the car and not enough to worry about safety. Either chrome moly or solid stock steel.

How difficult would it be to set the hoist up length ways on a car and fashion up a bracket for use as a rotisserie?

Well I am happy to report that it can lift a 69 Dodge Coronet easily!

The installation went well. Only gripe I have is that the hydraulic hoses could be 2 feet longer as the power unit ends up right in front of the front bumper.

I am thinking of relocating the power unit to the ceiling above the car as soon as I can figure out how to remotely turn it on and off.

Yummy,.... a good pig roast sounds great !

Good question & have never thought about it. Since the drive train & suspension will be removed, I don't think there would be a torsional twist load or a weight problem. I'll contact the company and discuss it.
