Cobra is all buttoned up and ready.
[IMG][/IMG]

Trailer is ready (wheel bearings and brakes adjusted), I have 2 new tyres to pick up (spares).
[IMG][/IMG]
The F truck has been moved out of the way, George (the Valiant) is on the hoist, wheel bearings and brakes adjusted, rocker cover, side cover and manifold removed to replace leaking gaskets, new parts arriving this week.

It is filling up, but the trailer, f truck, valiant on hoist, brown pan brake, white shelving & eventually blue corona will all be out once I get sorted.
Also the tools will end up in the old shed once the 540 is into new shed.

Just really busy time of year for me. Should have time to sort everything out after a wedding we are attending mid November.

Boxhead - here's some advice you don't care for, nor did you ask for.

Paint your freakin car!!!

You have one of the nicest looking toys going around. Do your car justice and paint it!!!
Paint it black!!! Black as night!!! It will look sh!t hot & match your black fangs, pipes & roll bar!

Then 'cos you like yellow so much - paint 2 big fat yellow stripes down the middle, with pin stripes & roundels of course. Similar in colour to your amber indicator lights

Then don't worry about the fact you live in NT, and you drive your beast through dust, and that black will not only soak the suns rays, and be a PITA to clean. The patina effect will make your beast look like an angry bumble-bee covered in the earth's dust, and she'll look like one mean mutha ready for business :

PS: love those pusher-fans.

Lol,
Everytime I think about putting shiney paint on it, I look at the car and love how it looks old in the tinted primer.
I won't be painting it black though.

Temporary paint is awesome - dont get fussy about the car, chips and scratches dont bother you, and it gives you time to change your mind 17 thousand times on what colour your eventually going to paint it.

17 sleeps to go.....

Or just buff the gel coat and apply stripes.........

[IMG][/IMG]

I like the pastel Yellow look on yours Dave, doesn't look like a bumble bee.

Thanks Tenrocca, it gets cold and miserable at the timing table when wet, I'll rug up well.
Only have to sit there for half a day this time, as drags and go-whoa running concurrently in the morning.

I will take some heart in that the long range forecasts were very wrong last year....

Default Preparation

Things have been working out well with an opportunity to spend the week end getting the car ready.

This is where things are.

The engine is complete, its just in the wrong car.

The New bellhousing and a few bits sorted in the engine bay.

New tires with nicely polished rims.

New Extinguisher system installed.

So if all goes well I am getting close to finishing in time.

Phil
